A Detroit-area newspaper says the results of Tuesday's primary could lead to Hamtramck, Michigan, becoming the first city council in the U.S. to be controlled by Muslims.
The Detroit News says there are four Muslims in the Tuesday primary. If they are among the candidates who win and go on to run in the November election, they would have a chance to join a fifth Muslim who already sits on the six-member council and is up for re-election in 2009.
Hamtramck -- historically a refuge for Catholic immigrants mostly from Poland and Ukraine -- was at the center of a controversy three years ago over an initiative allowing amplified calls to prayer from the city's mosques.

There is one movie that I associate my childhood with very closely. Even though I was a child in the 70’s born in 65, The Sandlot is the movie that resembles my childhood. Baseball where ever we could find the space. Riding bikes around my city, to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm, to the beach. It was complete innocence. Those days are over, and my 11 year old can’t understand why I was allowed to do those things and he is not.

You are way off base with these comments. Those ethnic groups, notice my lack of a bigoted tone, did not and do not pose the danger the Muslims do. You are either Muslin, ignorant or both.
As for all those harmless "ethnic communities" that never, ever posed the threat that the eeeevil mooselimbs do, guess someone's never heard of the Cosa Nostra--or the Kosher Nostra, for that matter. Nosirree, every one of those white (or close enough) European immigrants just came over to set up pizza shops and delis, nothing more.
As for the article under consideration, I weep for America, knowing that our insidious enemies have nearly completed their plan to negotiate waste-removal contracts and set property taxes in a small town in Michigan. Honestly, I should have seen it coming. First, they took over our gas stations and our 7/11s, selling us our gasoline and liquor. Next, they began sending their children to our public schools, and opening restaurants that serve strange food. It was only a matter of time before they got themselves elected to city councils and began branding every one of us kuffars with a big K on the forehead. And let's not forget the burqas--even though most Metro Detroit Muslims are Arabs and have never seen a burqa in their lives, I'm sure they're going to do something with burqas.
This is the end, friends. I can only pray Jesus returns soon, or perhaps Brock Samson, and destroys this cancer burbling in the heart of America's greatest city, Detroit!

I guess I’m very discriminatory and need sensitivity training, but I don’t like to work with them either. I don’t trust the look in the men’s eyes or their constant fake praying and pushing their religion. I’m not usually this way... but the looks in their eyes scares me.

ARGH! I don’t understand why he and the others don’t see or don’t care about what’s happened to every European country that has imported too many Muslims!!
It’s already not the America I grew up with. If I had known then what I know now I would have appreciated it a whole lot more.
Oh, and I didn’t quite finish that - though you probably know what I meant. Based on what’s happened in those countries, it’s a good indicator of what will happen here. In my opinion.

If we fail to protect our borders and we arrest Border Patrol agents who dare to prevent invasion by illegal aliens, soon we will have hordes for all over the world and the US will no longer be the US. Yes, the amnesty bill was dropped but already those in Washington are plotting to sneak it past us in increments.
