CALLER: I want a complete, impartial, and totally independent investigation of the events of September 11, 2001 . Im tired of this bogus garbage about terrorism. Ask Michael Meacher about how he feels about this bogus war on terrorism. Can you comment on that please?
HON. DR. RON PAUL: Well, that would be nice to have. Unfortunately, we dont have that in place. IT WILL BE A LITTLE BIT BETTER NOW WITH THE DEMOCRATS NOW IN CHARGE OF OVERSIGHT. But you know, for top level policy theres not a whole lot of difference between the two policies so a real investigation isnt going to happen. But I think we have to keep pushing for it. And like you and others, we see the investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation of what went on.

The fact is he looks for support amongst truthers, conspiracy theorists, and assorted right wing radicals. That's why he appears on their shows, that's why his column is on their websites and in their publications.
If that's not his intent, he's either too naive or too stupid to hold national office.
If his constituents want to reelect him, their choice, I'm told he brings home the pork by proposing it, then voting against it, knowing it will be passed.
A quality politician.
It was one of four I included in my post. You ignore the other three, so you can pick the weakest one and try to argue that.
Next time I'd suggest you pick his strongest denial.
When asked, "the suggestions from these people that you were talking to in this video that 9/11 was orchestrated by the government, you do not support that theory?" Paul answered, "Absolutely not." In other words, Al Qaeda did it.Done. Again.
The fact is he looks for support amongst truthers, conspiracy theorists, and assorted right wing radicals.
He disavowed them. Try again.
that's why his column is on their websites and in their publications.
His column is uncopyrighted. As you already know. Busted again.
He may not be a racist, but he's happy to dismiss racist comments with the excuse that gee, I didn't write them.
Since you bring it up, though his columns aren't copyrighted, he could solve that in a heartbeat, and he's apparently not disturbed to be promoted to readers and advertisers as a columnist in Willis Carto's antisemitic/Holocaust Denial rag.
An no, I don't think he's an antisemite or a racist.
But I think he's blind to it, and I think he's happy to get their votes.
That's not a quality I will accept in an elected official. A purely personal opinion.
You may see noting wrong with it, which is your personal opinion.
We'll see what the voters say.
And I know, Diebold will cheat him out of his victory, another of the nonsensical conspiratorial leftist talking points som of his supporters buy into.
Ron Paul: Things Will Be Better Now the Democrats Are In Charge
You know, I was pleased when Ron Paul joined the Republican Party, and welcomed his idea of pushing libertarian ideas into the Republican mainstream. But... he’s showing his kooky side right now.
Dr. Ron Paul, Texas Congressman exploring a run for President, appeared on The Alex Jones Show Wednesday [MP3 link] and had the following to say about 9/11:
“CALLER: I want a complete, impartial, and totally independent investigation of the events of September 11, 2001 . I’m tired of this bogus garbage about terrorism. Ask Michael Meacher about how he feels about this bogus war on terrorism. Can you comment on that please?
HON. DR. RON PAUL: Well, that would be nice to have. Unfortunately, we don’t have that in place. It will be a little bit better now with the Democrats now in charge of oversight. But you know, for top level policy there’s not a whole lot of difference between the two policies so a real investigation isn’t going to happen. But I think we have to keep pushing for it. And like you and others, we see the investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation of what went on.
JACK BLOOD, GUEST HOST: I think it’s fair to say that of all the candidates out there, the one most interested in reopening the investigation and clearing the questions is Dr. Paul; and you should be commended for that.
___________
Please explain why he made these comments. Oooh oooh I know, he wants to prove Al Qaeda did it.
I have asked about a dozen or so times for this comment to be explained and all I get is a bunch of he-denied-it nonsense.
Cracker jack campaign he has going on there.
The only rational explanation for those comments is that he expects the Dem's, as the opposition party, to do a better investigatory job on what is apparently an unresolved issue. What issues are unresolved have not been addressed, and should, by Paul, not his supporters.
More like not interested in wasting their money on a straw poll. You do know how much they costs when legitimate candidates campaign in it right?
No more likely they’re just weak candidates. A Caucus like the Iowa straw poll takes a lot of one on one campaigning.
Because he believes there was some CYA going on. Not of a conspiracy, but of incompetence and negligence. That POV is quite common. You see it all the time on FR.
Oooh oooh I know, he wants to prove Al Qaeda did it.
No need. Ron Paul, like everyone else already accepts that fact.
I have asked about a dozen or so times for this comment to be explained and all I get is a bunch of he-denied-it nonsense.
It's been explained over and over again. Don't blame me because you don't get it.
He disavowed them? after how many appearances on the truther radio show?
Is he returning their money too (cause Lord knows that would leave a mark in his warchest if he does).
You know you all should have told the man that Jones is a truther.
LOL, well they've got the money don't they? Sure they do! I remember a time this year when Ames was the straw poll. Now one of the media's chosen, or worse yet The Actor, may not do as well in it, this poll no longer counts.
What is it with you lot? Rep. Paul has done nothing to you, except unfortunately keep showing up in the polls. Next November, God willing the man pulls off an upset and somehow wins, you'll be telling us the election doesn't matter much anymore because the 'right' guy didn't win that one either....
November, you expect him to get the nomination but lose the general. I don't think Ames counts for much, but it's interesting that Paul supporters are already complaining about the inherent dishonesty of using Diebold machines. Another left wing conspiracy theory. I'll post it in the next post.
Yes, as I have posted multiple times in this thread.
after how many appearances on the truther radio show?
I don't know. Or care.
Is he returning their money too (cause Lord knows that would leave a mark in his warchest if he does).

Ron Paul Supporters Denounce Iowa Diebold Use
Friday, August 03, 2007 - FreeMarketNews.com
A letter has been issued by the following individuals regarding the use of Diebold voting machines in the Iowa primaries:
Jim Condit Jr.
Citizens for a Fair Vote Count; votefraud@fuse.net
Jim Palmisano
National Ron Paul Supporters Meetup
Missouri Coordinator: Restore the Republic
Missouri Coordinator: We the People Congress
The letter reads as follows:
Everything we are all doing is going to be brought to NAUGHT if the Diebold computers - being used to ‘count’ the votes at the Iowa Straw Poll - are used to STEAL the Straw Poll Election.
YES - despite a study from computer scientists at the University of California paid for by the Secretary of State of California - publicized in the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times LAST SATURDAY (July 28, 2007) - the Iowa GOP is STILL planning to use the easily rigged Diebold computers to “count” the vote at the Straw poll!
You see, the study showed that the Diebold computers were easily hacked, easily rigged, — and totally unreliable for conducting elections. And this is old news, several authoritative studies have already shown this from MIT, Cal Tech, Princeton University, and numerous other sources.
Search “Diebold Princeton University” on YOUTUBE - and you can see a 9 minute demonstration. Add “FOX News” to the search - and there is another 3 minute demonstration by these scientists on FOX News.
Citizens for a Fair Vote Count and allies are conducting a verification EXIT POLL at the Ames Straw Poll. We’re asking all Ron Paul people who vote in the Ames Straw Poll in the official election on the easily rigged Diebold Machines - to cast a second “ballot” in our exit poll. IF WE COME UP with 5000 Ron Paul exit poll ballots - the Iowa GOP better not say he only got 2000 votes! Get the point?
WE NEED YOU! Did you see the movie BRAVEHEART??? We need the Highlanders to come down to the “battle” at Ames, Iowa on August 11, 2007 - by the hundreds - and the thousands. We need about 200 volunteers to work with our verification “exit poll” on the day of August 11 -— sign up at the election reform meetup, which is at this address:
http://electionreform.meetup.com/165/
We need 30 or 40 people donating an average of $100 to help us pay for the ballots, t-shirts, headquarters, banners, tables, chairs, etc. to make sure that Ron Paul’s vote is not stolen! Even $5 will help! Please email your contributions to paypal at:
action@networkamerica.org - you can also find the donate button at the above election reform meetup address. We can confront the computer votefraud issue at Ames, Iowa in a big way!
Millions of our fellow Americans have fought and bled and died over the past 200 years for our freedoms -— let’s not let Diebold and the Iowa GOP spit on their sacrifice in Ames by conducting yet another SECRET VOTE “COUNT.” Let all of us HONOR the sacrifice of all our fallen soldiers over 200 years by ENSURING AN OPEN AND HONEST VOTE COUNT.
For more info, go to this web page for two stories:
http://www.votefraud.org/ron_paul_stop_the_votefraud_page.htm
- one tells what happened at the Ames Straw Poll in 1995. One (A House without Doors) tells about the proven vote fraud against Pat Buchanan in the 1996 Iowa Presidential Caucuses, and how it was done. See you in Ames? (Letter slightly edited.)
As any political or military historian will tell you...you can lose the battle but still win the war.
In losing in 1964, Goldwater inspired a revolution of unapologetic right wing conservative principles that lead to the rise of an actor and future CA governor who was one of his ardent admirers and disciples who spoke on his behalf...
"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberalsif we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is. Now, I cant say that I will agree with all the things that the present group who call themselves Libertarians in the sense of a party say, because I think that like in any political movement there are shades, and there are libertarians who are almost over at the point of wanting no government at all or anarchy. I believe there are legitimate government functions. There is a legitimate need in an orderly society for some government to maintain freedom or we will have tyranny by individuals. The strongest man on the block will run the neighborhood. We have government to insure that we dont each one of us have to carry a club to defend ourselves. But again, I stand on my statement that I think that libertarianism and conservatism are travelling the same path".

Inside Ronald Reagan: A Reason Interview from July 1975
You are not exactly coming down off the mountain with the tablets with the idea that Ron Paul is NOT going to be the GOP nominee (sorry GW).
But the man inspires many young people out there to run for public office and defeat the neo-cons, Talibannies, left wing socialists and communists (an ideology that Democrats daily continue to imitate while ignoring the sacrifice that our brave men and women in the armed forces made in an effort to defeat during the Cold War.)
He doesn't have the charisma and leadership ability. But one of his disciples out there does. I don't know who or where he/she is, but they are reading and watching.
He's inspired me to run for public office. I will.
Look out for his disciples in the next generation.
***This is all predicated on his getting over 5% of the popular vote in the primaries. If he doesn't, then please strike everything I just wrote from the record.
I've seen all kinds of complaints about the Diebold machines from the "selected not elected" crowd, none that convince me they're a part of a Republican conspiracy which is the charge.
Do you have any legitimate complaints to raise?
Do you think that's why Pat Buchanan lost in 1996?
OK, the Republican Party sucks big time, I know. And neocons, the RP is loaded for bear with them. Left wing socialists and communists infiltrating the Republican Party, that's an interesting take.
So Ron Paul will purge the Republican Party not only of the evil neocons, but the commies and socialists as well.
Outstanding
You learn something here every day.
Hey it’s all good. The Democrats are in charge of oversight, so “go home and get a nice quiet sleep.”
Is he returning their money?
