Candidates participating
“The authorization of force passed by the constitution is perfectly sufficient as a declaration of war. No less a Constitutional Law luminary than Mark Levin agrees with that.”
Then who am I to argue with the “Great One?”
That’s nothing. A newbie was advocating nationalizing healthcare here the other night. I summoned the mod. Nada. It’s not like I try to get people banned but I thought advocating Hillarycare was sufficient cause. Apparently not. The same person was a week earlier advocating free rent/food/transportation/education plus stipend for nursing students, all freebies.
LOL. Ron Paul is an extremist, not a conservative. He has a lifetime ACU rating of 82 and the last two years, 2005 and 2006, it has been 76. He is the lowest ranked Republican in the Texas Congressional delegation. His lifetime ADA rating is the highest among the GOP Texas delegation.

I am really sorry to hear that. I thought that seeing that the democrats did not win the election would be #1 priority on FR today.
Its always been that way. FR isn't a Republican Party forum, its a conservative political forum. First we get rid of liberals like Giuliani, along with promoting the best conservative candidates available. The Democrats come later on.
I am speculating that if the liberals or the neocons grab the party again, Ron Paul will 3rd party so fast it will make your head spin. At least some will have a place to go and not waste their vote on a big spending, one world, pro immigration anti- constitutionalist.
Rudy’s positions are identical to Hillary and the Democrats on abortion, gay rights, gun control, illegal aliens, trampling on the Constitution and Bill of rights, etc, etc. He IS a liberal Democrat with an “R’ after his name, ie, a RINO, and we conservatives will work overtime to defeat him as we would any liberal Democrat. Get used to it or get gone.
“Thats why I like Hunter. I believe for the same reason, he is not getting the exposure that the top 3 Reps and the dems get. The media continuously ignores him. Maybe he isnt doing enough to get his message out there, but he is actually working for us, not just promising to. I think theyre afraid if he gets a chance he actually will change things! I would love to see it happen.
Hubby says the dems will get in though, because of the countrys short attention span regarding 9/11. He might be right. I pray everyday that he will be wrong though.”
Hunter has been working hard to get his message out, doing one radio/tv interview after another. I don’t know where he gets his energy from. It’s just that the MSM focuses on the frontrunners. I figure do we want MSM to pick the president for us, or do we want to do that.
If enough of us grassroots folks support Hunter by contributing to his campaign, writing editor’s letters and/or calling talk shows, Hunter has a great chance. We were heard when we spoke loudly about the amnesty bill, and we can be heard again! But, it’s up to us.
I don’t think the Dems are such a “shoe-in” when the Dem controlled Congress has such horribly low ratings.
I don’t slap ‘em - I give ‘em Haldol. Well, I actually have the nurses give ‘em Haldol.
(Dottie, I’m pinging you, because I wonder if you’re as disappointed as I am.)
I’m sad to say that I believe that Ron Paul has lost contact with reality and the Republican Party, and he’s spouting the same lies that the Dems have screeched at us for years (Before the US “invaded,” Iraq had no Al Queda, no weapons of mass destruction, the trains ran on time and women had equal rights, etc.). Today, after saying “We just leave,” “We marched in and can march out,” after calling our President and troops criminals engaged in an illegal war, Dr. Paul ignored the millions of deaths and the tyranny caused by leaving Viet Nam unprotected and unfunded, skipped 30 plus years of misery and continued injustice and said, “See, peace works!”
He’s never had the ability to see that regardless of the Constitutionality, we have to deal with Roe v. Wade with the tools that we have: incremental legislation and the withholding of tax funds. He actually voted against restriction of abortion, time after time, because there was no Constitutional basis for the laws concerning abortion. I’m sure that the 40 million dead human children in the US would have admired his principles. But, I no longer do.
Dr. Paul, times change. Our profession and your subspecialty have jumped on the “abortion as medical care” bandwagon while you played the Black Knight. We who honor the Creator and Nature’s laws must defend life each time we are able, to the extent we are able. We can’t say that it’s invalid to pay for medical care so I’ll vote against restricting funding for abortion at military hospitals overseas and at home.
If any of the Dem’s candidates win the Presidency in ‘08,
Ron Paul is a nice man, but he is weak on many issues, and would send our troops naked to fight the war.
And he is a libertarian; I am a conservative.
The libertarians seem to have their own interpretation of the Constitution, and while sometimes, they are correct, they are often very wrong.
I read the platform of the Libertarian Party, and it is not for me. Did you know that Ron Paul ran for president for the Libertarian Party?
Ron Paul is pro-life, though, and I applaud him for that.
Interesting that you don't mention the War on Terror, Iraq, Patriot Act, etc. I guess that doesn't matter any more.
Also, interesting that you've let your site become a nest of Ron Paul wackos and Bush bashers.
Rudy would be very weak at fighting the War on Terror, because he is pro-ILLEGAL immigration.
border security = national security.
But, as Michelle Malkin has revealed, under Giuliani, New York was an illegal alien sanctuary and “America’s Mayor” actually sued the federal government in an effort to keep New York City employees from having to cooperate with the INS:
“When Congress enacted immigration reform laws that forbade local governments from barring employees from cooperating with the INS, Mayor Rudy Giuliani filed suit against the feds in 1997. He was rebuffed by two lower courts, which ruled that the sanctuary order amounted to special treatment for illegal aliens and were nothing more than an unlawful effort to flaunt federal enforcement efforts against illegal aliens. In January 2000, the Supreme Court rejected his appeal, but Giuliani vowed to ignore the law.”
If you agree with the way that Nancy Pelosi and Company deal with illegal immigration, then you’ll find the way that Rudy Giuliani tackles the issue to be right down your alley.

You CANNOT fight the WOT when you are pro-ILLEGAL immigration.
bump to post 434!
B/S. Rudy has done nothing and has no special qualifications whatsoever to be commander-in-chief. The fact is, he is an abortion/gay rights/gun control/illegal alien activist and as such aligns himself with the culture of death dregs of the left, ie, the abortion “rights” groups, the gay “rights” groups, Planned Parenthood, NOW, DailyKos, DemoncraticUnderground, George Soros, International Amnesty, International Answer, et al. He is allied with the God-denying, America hating enemies of Liberty, the Constitution, and our freedoms. He represents the enemy within.
Just like WA has become a nest of Fred bashers?
WA? What’s that. (too many abbreviations these days!)
