As our ol’ buddy H. Ross would say, “That was High-larus!”
No... I just don't need my drool cup emptied.
Just enough truth in that to make it very funny.
I agree. I saw him interviewed by Charlie Rose last week, and he comes across as very polished, and just as you say, disciplined. He is quick to make a point that enhances his overall image, no matter the subject, and that is a skill that cannot be underestimated.
Im glad Congressman Hunter got to make a strong closing statement, though.
Me too. Must have been a freak accident.
It's the equivalent of Charlie Brown's teacher speaking.
Gee, free rock-n-roll party for RP near campus. I'm sure those college kids aren't going to want to attend some nasty party at their favorite club. LOL.
Ronstock will be a part of the celebration of Congressman Ron Pauls message of freedom before the Iowa Straw Poll. Ronstock will be held at the Bali Satay House on August 10th, 2007 (the day before the big day) from 6:00-10:00PM! The Bali Satay House is the largest live music club in the college town. It is located in the campustown area of Ames, Iowa. Everyone is welcome (all ages). No cover. More details to be released soon!
But it's OK if a pro-abortionist liberal Mayor runs as a Republican?
Perhaps you do, since it’s spelled “loon,” not “lune.”

Althought McCain, Giuliani, Thompson are missing they are on the ballot.....

It is fine for anyone to run in the primaries. That is what they are for. If the majority (or plurality) of Republicans decide they do not want Rudy or Mitt, or who ever then they wont be our candidate. If, instead they do decide that's who it is going to be, then they by default are the "face" of the Republican party. Things change, parties change, and each and every one of us will have the chance to say who it is that we want to lead it. Remember, this is the primaries.
A characteristic post short on substance and clarity.
"Lune" as in "lunatic"... that needs to be institutionalized. Yup, he comes across as crazy.
"Loon" as in "the bird" being goofy might apply as well.
I'll let you pick your own description.
Don't blame me, you've defined yourself. You whine about FredT for following his schedule and not paying attention to what the liberal media wants. Yet you supply nuanced kudos to Rooty Toot. LOL, whatever.
>>>>>As for Fred taking away Rudy's support, isn't that what the primaries are for? Why would I get upset about that?
One reason, you obviously didn't think it was important enough to even mention. But showing up for another debate held in the confines of a liberal network, with a ex-Clintonista running the show, that was okay by you. LOL
>>>>>I don't need to prove my conservatism to you or any body else. After all that is subjective thing. I will tell you that I am much more of a fiscal conservative, and security conservative than I am a social conservative but if you and other Fred supporters try and define the entire party, it is you who will lose.
There have been many FReepers over the years who would agree with you about conservatism being a political endeavor open to personal interpretations. That is a wrong. The modern conservative movement is steeped in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the anti-liberal politics of both social and fiscal conservatism.
>>>>>>And if Fred actually gets in the race, and says anything that impresses me, it could still be him.
FredT has expressed a lot of impressive rhetoric over the last several months. He's made many pronouncements about his conservative politics, in numerous public venues. FredT has given many interviews and written many editorial opinions on ALL the issues. Not to mention his radio commentary.
Either you haven't been listening to his words, or you've chosen to ignore him. What you object to, is FredT not engaging in debates hosted by liberal media outlets. You'd rather jump to conclusions and cast aspersions on a good conservative whose chosen to set his own political course. I kinda like it. FredT is not afraid to be different. I'm not 100% sure he's running, but all the signs are there. He'll be a positive addition in the race to the GOP nomination.
Btw, the #1 priority on FR today, is for conservatives to work at assuring the liberal Rooty Toot never gets the nomination. FredT has already made it obvious to anyone paying attention, that his impact on the former liberal mayors campaign effort, has the RudyBoosters running scared.
Ultimately it's up to God to get us to the next place we need to be. Sorry....as strong as you are you still can't do it all by yourself. Give people a chance to get their second wind.
Words of inspiration from a child's Sunday school song....
At the Cross, at the Cross,
where I first saw the light
and the burden of my heart rolled away.
It was there by faith
I received my sight.
And now I am happy all the day.
Let go and let God, just for today friend.
Wrong. Crystal clear and to the point.
I’ll reserve my extended opining and factual posts for the important stuff.
Has anyone seen a replay of the debate listed on any channel for later today?
