That is the bill for FCHIP (medical treatment for children from birth to 25...YES 25 years old).

Some of the money for this treatment will come from robbing the medicare trust fund.

Interesting but this same bill also revoked the previous treatment to include unborn babies, they are no longer covered in this bill. Several pro life congressman tried to get it added to the bill and the Dems refused to allow it to be added to the bill.

They also tacked on an amendment that revoked the teaching of abstinence only education.

Bush’s position on immigration already shows how much he values the rule of law.

Meanwhile, in the “Justice” department (you know, the one that should have brought certain Democrats in Congress up on treason charges by now), we have Gonzalez hiding under a desk, quivering in fear at the mighty shadow of Chuckie Schumer, for firing a handful of political appointees that he had every right to fire.

Quick cut to the nasty, smirking Dick Chaney - you know, the one guy we can REALLY count on to say it like it is in this administration and... oh, wait. Sorry. He’s been in an undisclosed location for the past 5 years.

“republicans marched out of the house...shouting shame, shame....”

there is no shame for democrats. there is no sense of justice with them. there is only the desire to win; by way of backstabbing, lying, strong-arming, conspiracy, propaganda, agitation, thievery and worse.

democrat party = subsersive revolutionaries.

All this BS about “watching the vote and maybe changing your vote based on the way it’s going” just really pisses me off.

I can’t do this when I vote, why should these arrogant assholes be allowed to? You do your best and vote your conscience, period.

IMHO, all votes should be by private ballot with the results announced only after the voting is finished.

“So, if I’m keeping score correctly, the number of things on the Dems wish list from January that have gotten done is.... zero.”

Uh, they raised the minimum wage, putting a bunch of people out of work and causing a real hassle for employers.

It’s coming to the time to march on DC, Finn. Except the country won’t have pitchforks and torches this time.

The Founders would have never thought that a minority or majority party would sell-out just to serve steal.

There. Fixed it.

Do you know what will happen now? I haven’t been following this story.

Medicaid to illegal immigrants has got to be outrageously expensive and will just attract more illegals (duh).

Not to disparage the Dems “motivations”, but I suspect that they just want to create a voting block of people on the gubmint dole for themselves. Gee, it’s the same old, same old.

I think Congress should be limited to very low pay given their power. It's all about that prestige, money and pension that is ruining their ability to govern this country effectively.

I'd like to see some Third Party candidate come out in favor of 401Ks for all elected officials (we'd go after the appointed ones in the next round). That would eliminate the Big Draw of taxpayer-funded pensions and perhaps make these guys worry more about America's future since their own pensions are at risk. You's have to grandfather in the current crowd, alas, but if it ever came to this hard decision, they would sell out their future colleagues to retain their current perks.

This proposal would raise a storm of discussion and send the pols scurrying and evading the issue. Would be fun to watch.

We need the Repubs to go on every Sunday talk show, we need the Repubs to notify the talk radio folk, we need this talked about and made known in the loudest way possible.

Will the pubbies be polite and civil? They’re not known as soldiers or anything....

Absolutely right. You are singing my song!

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., accepted GOP calls for an investigation. "I do not believe there was any wrongdoing by any member of the House. I do believe a mistake was made," he said. "And I regret it."

Mistake.

Al Gore called Clinton's alleged rape of Juanita Broderick a "mistake" a friend could carelessly make, too, as I recall.

Medicare advantage is the best thing going. It uses the power of the market place to leverage your medicare benefits. Naturally, the socialists hate it.

The republicans have been walking around like they’ve been taken over by the ‘body-snatchers’ for about the last 15 years or so. These ‘lifetime appointments’ (after all, that’s just about what they turn out to be) are not healthy for Congress or the nation.
