She reported that an Afghan commander confirmed that a rescue operation was underway to rescue the Korean Missionaries. However, about 20 minutes later, she came back on to retract the report, and blamed someone else.
Am I the only one who thinks this report will probably get these hostages killed? You know someone with a satellite phone is watching TV and has already called the hostage takers to tell them to lock and load.
They are playing with people's lives here.

CNN hates america as much as, if not more, than the BBC or Al jazerra.

We shouldn’t lift a finger or put our boys in harm’s way for these morons. They knew the risks. They are on their own.

If CNN were around in WWII,
June 5th 1944, “CNN has learned that the Allies will invade Normandy tomorrow morning.”

Could be they have been asked to spike the story....for operational security reasons..
Could be the raid is on going.

They are playing with people's lives here. But..., if all the hostages are brutally murdered..., CNN will have far more ways to spin the event!
IF IT BLEEDS..., IT LEADS!!!

I remember watching real time footage of the hostage rescue team on the roof of the Olympic village suite where the Israelis were being held by Black September. Unfortunately Black September was watching it on TV as well.

Fox reported the same thing. I said to myself, don’t these idiots know they are condemning the hostages to dead by their actions.

CNN would gladly sacrifice the lives of hostages to get the jump on “breaking news.” Being first on a story is the pinnacle of journalism, regardless of the consequences.

They don’t care if the hostages live or die, only if they get the story on FIRST.

That was my first thought.
They reported it on FOX too.
I can only hope that there was a delay in the reporting of the operation - if that’s what’s going on.

Irrespective whether the raid is ongoing, I hope that the Taliban does not watch CNN. If they do, then the hostages are dead, or will be shortly.
To: Dog
Well, this might be the case, but it shouldn’t have been on TV in the first place until the op was wrapped up one way or the other.
Some military officer trying to look big in front of western journalists was running off at the mouth.
To: Dog
Yes, Jim they did, matter of fact the person who announced it said it was happening as we speak.
