I taped a segment on the O'Reilly Factor for airing tonight to defend Free Republic against charges that it is a hate site. The segment will air in the 'D block' around 8:35 p.m. EDT and rerun at 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. EDT.
Rather than tell how it went, I'll leave it for folks to watch and decide for themselves. I hope I did right by FR.
We'll be having company tonight as some of Bill O'Reilly's two million-plus viewers check out FR for themselves. So please bear that in mind as you comment tonight. The Daily Kos is waging a very nasty personal campaign of retribution against O'Reilly. No sense in us piling on. Let's use this as an opportunity to show people why FR is the best conservative site on the web.

Bill O’Reilly interrupts too much. Oh how, he loves to hear himself talk! I have never heard such talk on FR and I have been a member since 2000. I have seen some posts pulled and thats a good thing. I have watched Bill a lot but I have never seen him talk about Free Republic like I just viewed. Makes my blood boil......Free Republic is “my place”, a place I come everyday because I find what I want here. And I love I love Free Republic.

No. It is a way of pursuading the intellectually weak to avoid coming here to begin with. After all Bill is on record supporting Dan Rather though Memogate, whereas FR and friends were able to prove fraud without any shread of doubt.
Bill, as I am learning is a fraud. This I did not know until last night. My mistake. As an example right now I am waiving several papers together proving Bill uses the N word in private conversations all the time. I won't show them to you or Bill, you just have to believe me. Oh, and I'll make sure you get a copy in the morning. (BS!!)

Man, that was hard to write, but most definitely what Bill is hoping to achieve with his midget mindtrick. That IS what he doesn’t get. We are all way beyond shame tactics of the left.
He looks so rediculous right now. I can’t wait to see what he produces as copies of those evidence “sheets” he would not give Kristinn last night. I hope it gets investigated and he is made to apologize for his false witness.

You were belligerent, over bearing and disrespectful to Mr Kristinn Taylor, (who is also a personal friend of mine), and I take exception to it.
You never mentioned Democratic Underground which contains some of the most vile, disgraceful, slanderous posts with four letter words
the prevelant means of expressing displeasure, and which are never removed unless the poster is found to be more conservative than Howard Dean.

What's the alternative? You can't talk over a guy like O'Reilly without shouting and looking like a deranged nut (and giving the viewer a headache). Kristinn made a more important point by keeping his composure.

Well done, kristinn. Bill is uninformed, unfortunately.
I believe that BOR doesn’t understand the blogosphere, and self proclaimed doesn’t go online that much at all.
A couple days ago on BOR, someone mentioned that he never goes after the conservative websites, I believe this is why we may have seen Kristinn on the show (i could be wrong) just so BOR could take a slap at a conservitive site as well to show balance on his program. He didn’t give Kristinn a chance to explain anything, just wanted to give him a slap.
As stated BOR did say that the left blogs are far worse that what he’s seen on FR. However, he is basing his whole fight against Kos on posts and photos made by single individuals, which in my opion do relay the agenda of their site, so he is right in doing so.
The appearance on BOR by a representive of a right leaning website was solely an attempt by BOR to show he is “fair and balanced.” But he should first do some research before opening his mouth, IMO. If you want to find a derrogatory post on a blog, you’re going to find one. But it is the principle, character, and agenda of the site that is most important.

How sad BOR could not have represented the positive aspects of this website, but rather, used a few comments pulled out of context to engage in his fight with the daily kos.
I expect an apology.
