This year we added the Bug Zapper Thread
Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

Lately I’ve been using
B4L8r, stolen from someone. B4L8r = Bump For Later
BFLR = Bump for Later Reading
I tried to get “dam ties” and “GI Joe Hostage” as part of freeper lore, but they never caught on. “Scarmable” did, though.
My standard “in before the zot” posting:
All your scarmabled dam tied GI Joe hostages are belong to us.

“Alright, let’s hear your suggestions (be gentle).”
OK...shameless plug for a pithy term I came up with a couple of years ago following Hurricane Katrina: “Mogidishu on the Mississippi” for all references having to with New Orleans.
I’ll keep trying...
Unnngh thread takes it's rightful place in Freeper Lexicon.
Cool.
They missed my typos, which is good for me.
teh, ganags, epopel, etc..
You’re knowledge of early FReeper yore is limited.
Good job. A few items: under pic rule, “unpleasant liberal women” is redundant. Under Clymer / Big Time you might want to add that “Big Time” is now a term of endearment for Vice President Cheney.

Thanks for all the work, maybe it could be put in a pdf. file?
And SOCKS.
;-)
Unngh!
I've also added Freeriders.
I can put it in pdf format, but need someone willing to host it (I don’t have a site). I will also have it available on my profile page, once I have it updated.
Added bug zapper to lore and BFLR.
I forgot to ask, I would consider putting in the gi joe reference, but need to know how frequently it is used and if it is something for the glossary or pictures section. I haven’t, personally, seen the GI Joe thing used that much...
I don’t see the GI Joe reference much at all. It never seemed to catch on, so it really wouldn’t be part of Freeper Lore.
I remember once looking through the Freeper Lore stuff trying to find out how the Viking Kitties came into being, who used it first, that kind of thing.
Someone posted to me that there was an admin who liked this URL ...
http://users.wolfcrews.com/toys/vikings/
so much during one of the troll zotting threads that he put it on his home page and it took off, and ever since then we’ve been seeing pictures of viking kitties.
Feel free to fill in the blanks OR you are also welcome to take over the lexicon - I can provide you the most up to date copy if you like (please know, I'm not being snotty here, I'm being series ;-)).
No big deal. When I see “FReeper Lore” dominated by some of the worst personalities to frequent FR, like A+bert, eschoir, Ash and the Anit-freepers, I shudder.
Accounts of the first FR chapter and/or chapters, the first (and only) convention (FRiva Las Vegas) are wrong or incomplete. Also, when you mention Trixie, you should include that she and her “group” bolted from FR (with an FR mailing list) to start her own competing website, she was qouted in Salon as calling Jim a “mean shit”.
I see there is Opus. We need a reverse opus in the lexicon...
Heres my Supoi on the bugzapper thread. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1821435/posts?page=6245#6245
What should I call such a message? Opus is a Latin word for work. So I started with looking for a latin word for play. I found this well written article for the entymology:: http://www.erasmatazz.com/library/JCGD_Volume_8/Play_Mentation.html
The English word lechery is the only surviving remnant in English of the Old Germanic root leik, leikan, to play. Also striking is the fact that the Latin word for play, ludere, survives in English inlewd. Ok, strike that idea. So how about OpusBAR, or OppoOpus, or counter-opus, reverse osmopus, or Nopus, or Opthem or some similar play on words? Well, none of them rang clear. One that I like is to write out Opus backwards: SUPO. And since we see so many opera from freepers like Pukin Dog who leave & return multiple times, we would need to come up with a good plural for the word. Going back to Latin, I came up with Supoii, which would be a persons second Supo, and Supoiii would be their third, Supoiv their fourth, Supov & Supovi their 5th & 6th respectively, etc. I would encourage other social conservatives to start posting Supo on this thread.
So heres Kevmos first Supo,
Kevmo SUPOI
