How about Hunter/Thompson? That’s what I would like to see. I like Thompson but get the feeling he just doesn’t have “the fire in the belly” to be president. He said as much about his time in the Senate and didn’t hang around there long but he would make a good VP.

Even Hillary isnt dumb enough to associate with Obama.
He is a neophyte with zero experience

I never thought I'd say this, but after Fred's appointment of CAIR-apologist Spencer Abraham as his campaign manager, I'd be willing to support Newt.

News might actually be able to beat Hillary. Rudy McRomney, Elmer Hunter and that guy with two first-names don't have a prayer.

I’m with you. I’ve been saying Clinton/Richardson for years now.

I saw a talking head just the other day say that “it has to be Obama for vice, because the black vote will get angry”.

So what are they going to do? Vote Republican? I doubt it. They are owned by the dems, body and soul.

Hillary doesn’t give a hoot what the blacks think. But Richardson will bring in the Latin vote, which is still not on the Democratic plantation yet.

I would prefer a Duncan Hunter/Fred Thompson ‘08 Presidential ticket myself, but Duncan Hunter still seriously needs to greatly improve upon his poll numbers if this is going to really happen. Right now, Duncan Hunter is still my first choice for President while Fred Thompson is still my second choice barring any unforeseen events in the future which would definitely change my mind about my Presidential choices.

I don’t know what else Hunter can do to get any traction. He is being totally ignored by the MSM and, as we all know, the media pretty much controls the political landscape. I really like him too and think he would make a great president. As for VP, Thompson or Romney would be a good choice or even Newt if he’d consider being second fiddle. Guiliani seems to be the MSM favorite and so is getting a lot of publicity, good and bad. IMO McCain is toast and should just take his strawberries and go home.

I am also for Hunter/Thompson ticket.
I can’t see Thompson doing the Q and A with the anti
Republican Press, but I can see Hunter doing very well with that. Would love to see David Gregory try to get rude with
Duncan Hunter.

Democrats will nominate Hillary Rodham Clinton for president in 2008 and Barack Obama will be her running mate, former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich predicts.

Didn't know Newt looked so good in spandex...

Don’t you get the feeling that the press is scared of Hunter getting the nomination and that’s why they are giving him the cold shoulder. He’s a strong supporter of the military (and on the Armed Services Committee) and also the one that’s fighting for those two falsely imprisoned border guards. He says what he believes and doesn’t waffle like some of the others do, including the red queen. Lord have mercy I’d vote for Obama or Mickey Mouse if it would keep her out of the White House. No more Clinton/Bush/Bush/Clinton. Time to clean our house.

LOL! Don’t I wish. I’ve always thought Newt was the best candidate. Of course that’s why the Clinton war machine did such a hatchet job on him and, unfortunately, a lot of the “great unwashed” believe it. He is definitely a thinker and a problem solver and would make a good president too. He’d get my vote in a heartbeat if he was the nominee.

...caused by some fanatic wishing to see the first black president (other than Bill, of course).

Well, Hillary would be the first black-hearted President...

Never. Hillary would never be on a ticket where she can’t dominate, and Obama is too charismatic. If she gets the nomination (a very big IF), Bill Richardson is her VP. Strong candidate, brings in both western states and Hispanic voters.

Good Grief....Hillary will NOT pick a BLACK man, because too many people out there want a Black man to be PRESIDENT...not just Vice President!! ALL eyes and Hopes will be on OBAMA! Newt is daft on this.

I think you are right. Richardson is slightly more conservative, has the “hispanic” credentials AND has a western state connection. He has some baggage, there is no doubt...but Clinton will not go with Obama. Many blacks will be very upset about it, but they’ll still vote 99.9.% with Hillary.
