Does Bush really want to send another AG nominee before the Senate for confirmation? It will just give the Dems another chance to rehash all of the “illegal wiretaps” and Guantanamo hysteria once again.
I say Gonzales stays because there is nothing the Dem-controlled Senate can do about it...and Bush doesn’t want to put them in the driver’s seat once again by allowing them the chance to hold up another AG nominee just for show.

It's not their job to screw around playing election politics on the taxpayer dime, and every immigration bill is called an amnesty bill by "The Base" so your argument loses weight due to everexposure of the single, solitary issue. It's almost more onorus to see and hear the immigration dogma than it is to see and hear the Katrina dogma.

From all accounts Gonzalez is a Bush crony who probably never should have been confirmed, but how can you prosecute someone over the fallout based on something that is well within the president's rights (firing of prosecutors).
Why is congress engaging in sting operations? It's not going to stop after Bush is gone. Any Republican president is going to come under the same attack. The left seems intent on instituting a one party system. How low can politics sink?
I heard here on FR before the 2006 elections that some felt it would be good to have the democrats in power to teach the republicans a lesson. Some like myself knew it would be a disaster. Is this good for you all? What has this lowest approval rated do nothing Democratic controlled congress done for you? A lot less than the republicans did. The democrats are wasting your money and mine with NOTHING BUT AN ENDLESS FLOW OF INVESTIGATIONS, THAT HAVE YIELDED ZERO RESULTS. They are submitting an endless stream of withdrawal of Iraq bills that are going no where. Yeah, this was good to teach us a lesson, idiots. Your money at work.

Typical RAT strategy. Go after administration officials one at a time, and with every success, they go for the next on the list. Tell you what, Senator Schumer, you take your request for a special counsel, and put it in line right behind the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the crimes your own staff perpetrated against Michael Steele, Harry Reid and family’s fraudulent real estate deals, and Teddy Kennedy’s murder of Mary Jo Kopechne. Once those issues are satisfactorily disposed of, we’ll be happy to work on your request. Until then, senator, piss up a rope.
They all make me want to puke, too. ALL of them — (R) and (D). The worst part is the sheer stupidity of most of them, and the arrogance. The impression they give the rest of the world that they represent me on anything is utterly embarrassing.
