MURCIA, Spain, July 24, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A Spanish judge ruled in June that a woman must leave her lesbian relationship for the sake of her children or give up custody of them to the father, her former husband, in a controversial story that has just come to light.
Homosexual advocacy groups have begun clamoring for an investigation into Fernando Ferrin Calamita, a family court judge in the southeastern city of Murcia who has insisted that the "most prestigious specialists" and "common sense" say homosexual environments are damaging to the development of children.
In his June 6 decision Ferrin Calamita ruled that "the homosexual condition harms the children," and gave the mother until the end of June to choose either her lesbian partner or keep her two daughters by resuming a heterosexual lifestyle. Until then, he bequeathed custody of the children to the father, who had divorced the mother after discovering she was living a double-life as a lesbian.
"It is understood that [a parent's] drug addiction, child abuse, prostitution, belonging to a satanic sect or heterosexual affair would negatively affect the children and serve as a reason for a change of custody," said Ferrin Calamita according to the Spanish news agency EFE. "Well, it's the same with homosexuality,"
"Children have a right to a father and a mother, but not to two mothers or two fathers," the judge continued in his ruling saying that upon this fact both the "most prestigious specialists" and "common sense" agree. "The man and the woman are complementary to each other. Two women or two men, not."
He added, "It is a homosexual atmosphere that harms minors and substantially increases the risk that they will turn that way too."
In another case in April, Ferrin Calamita applied the same principle against two lesbians intent on adopting.
Unfortunately Judge Ferrin Calamita's jurisprudence runs counter to the prevailing agenda of Prime Minister Jose Zapatero's Socialist government, which has made forcing homosexual "marriage" and adoption on Spain among its top priorities. In 2005, the Socialist government legalised same-sex "marriage" despite the opposition of Spain's Catholic Church and other pro-family groups.
Murcia's Supreme Court has now opened disciplinary proceedings against Ferrin Calamita at the behest of homosexualist organisations.
On Monday, 15 feminist and homosexualist organisations also filed a complaint before Spain's General Council of the Judiciary, demanding that it investigate Ferrin Calamita. The council has said it too will investigate.
It's about time someone stood up and told the truth!

This is great news!!!
Don't the libs always say the U.S. should look to international law for guidance. I say we start here.
There is still some wisdom and courage in the world. God bless that judge.
Natch.
One voice of reason against how many?
Too bad American judges don´t believe common sense has any place in our court rooms.
Thank goodness there are still people in the wrold willing to stand up for what is right. This will most likely not work. Sadly, the Socialist government has legalized same sex marriage, and they have deemed it to be like any other marriage relationship. The Socialist government will probably toss this guy off the bench for being hateful and intolerant.
Twice this article says the gay groups want the judge “investigted.” For what? Just to bother him? How or what would they be “investigating?” His difference of opinion?
It’s called intimidation.
It will cost him his position, his wealth and his standing among his peers; all he will have left is his honor.

Each child needs a male parent and a female parent, or else he/she will feel deprived. The same-sex “parents” will of course tell the child that he/she is all right, and that everything is OK, and that both mommies love him/her and all that nonsense. The child may believe it and suppress his/her feelings of deprivation, but the feelings will rise to the surface later in life.
It is our nature to have and want a mother and a father.
It is in our nature to have a strong attachment to children we have conceived. It is unnatural to conceive a child by “donor sperm”, “surrogate mothers”, and other monstrosities.
And this has nothing to do with religion. It is about our human nature!
What's the law?
His statement: "It is understood that [a parent's] drug addiction, child abuse, prostitution, belonging to a satanic sect or heterosexual affair would negatively affect the children and serve as a reason for a change of custody," said Ferrin Calamita according to the Spanish news agency EFE. Sounds as if there is leeway here. Unless of course you're a protected degenerate group.

DID his views override their (the Spanish) law? What law specifically? Law gets created over time. Unless the Spanish government has always been in favor of homosexual unions, which I am unaware it has been, or he didn’t violate a law. It is more likely someone is testing the law and he - the judge - said no to their idea.
I objected to the tone of the suggestion - because it was clear they were asking for the judge to be investigated because they disagreed with his decision. That’s asking the government to abuse its power. If they have some case for the judge regularly overruling law in Spain (like, for instance, our 9th Circuit, with 86% of its decisions being overturned), then they should present that. But that’s not how it sounded to me in the article.
Tossing a judge off the bench for having the courage to speak about what he believes is true, that’s not hateful, is it? No, no, no, decent people with Christian Values could NEVER be treated cruelly. It just isn’t possible to be mean and unfair to a Christian, because they don’t count as human beings.
Good news indeed!
There are two things that automatically are strikes against you according to liberals.
1)Being Christian
2)Being White
3)(Being male if you are in the above two categories)
