A suspicious U-Haul truck has been discovered parked outside a Dallas courthouse where the long-awaited Holy Land Trial (terrorism funding) is set to begin at 9 am.
Think you are right, not much difference.
I don’t use it much any more, but every now and then I’ll ping the list to some domestic terrorism subject, or when I need research help. (Very good researchers on that list!)
You’re now added!
Not applicable here, just a feeble effort to hijack a serious thread.
That’s good. At least it lets our jihadi buds know we’re watching.
Although I will say I was a little surprised that the U-Haul was there in the first place. I don’t know exactly where it was in location to the courthouse, but shouldn’t there be a security perimeter for trials like this?
Tensions are indeed high, aren’t they? This will be a long trial—several months.
Now what makes this truck particularly suspicious? Does it have something written on the side? Call-in from somewhere or something?
Wait, why am I thinking rationally?!? It was on Fox!! Quick let's all call our Congressional representation and push for legislation to ban any sort of trucks from a certain range of any and all courthouses!!
Thanks for the ping!
And internment camps.
Furniture? What, FOX jumped the gun AGAIN!? Shocking! Man I gotta sit down and catch my breath, FOX Breaking News that had no basis whatsoever, does anybody have a paper bag I can hyperventilate into until my shock goes away...
“Site cleared after furniture found. Thats all.”
Can’t find a link on that...do you have a source? Do we know for sure this incident over?
Now, if they had found a skeptical truck they would have something.
Is it accurate to believe that furniture was found and this was a false alarm?
Anyone have any updates?
What updates do you have on this story? Can’t find anything. Any sources or is the information via newscast?
Guys—
I get annoyed at media hype on a slow news day, as your comments indicate you do.
However, living not far from where this trial is taking place, I am frankly relieved that law enforcement is overreacting. I hope they continue to do so.
This area — right in the middle of good ol’ boy Texas — has an abundance of mosques, Islamic centers, and probably sleeper cells. Osama’s personal secretary, who is now in federal prison for the Kenya embassy bombing, lived here, and his cohorts still do.
The men on trial — family, actually — apparently provided major funding to Hamas. This trial is serious, and I’m not the only one who is nervous about it.
So joke about FOX news if you will, but join the rest of us in hoping that nothing truly newsworthy (other than convictions and long prison terms) come out of downtown Dallas in the next few months.
I’m ok with the police getting right on it, but for FOX to make a big BREAKING NEWS! deal out of it more or less at exactly the same time, is IMO simply irresponsible.
In fact, it’s really the only reason I don’t pay extra to get FOX News — they’ve cried wolf far too many times like this.
bttt
All I can say is that the prosecution better not screw this one up.
Sorry, been out for a while. My source was our local fox affiliate here in dfw. They only briefly mentioned it once, and Iâm not aware of any link. Iâm satisfied with the accuracy of what I heard, and subsequently passed along.
