MCMINNVILLE, Ore., July 22 (UPI) -- Two 13-year-old Oregon boys are facing serious sex charges for allegedly slapping female classmates' bottoms as a form of horseplay.
Police arrested Cory Mashburn and Ryan Cornelison of McMinnville and if convicted could be permanently marked as sex offenders, The Portland Oregonian said Sunday. The teens also could spend as long as 10 years in juvenile detention if found guilty.
While the boys' parents have opposed such a harsh penalty, McMinnville District Aattorney Bradley Berry said such youthful acts could have longstanding consequences for the alleged victims.
"These cases are devastating to children," he said. "They are life-altering cases."
Interviews with the boys' fellow students found other teens were engaging in similar behavior at the time and two of the female victims have since recanted their statements.
The Oregonian said the boys are due in court on Aug. 20 to answer to all charges stemming from the February event.

I heard Prager on this today. As usual, an excellent show. If this stuff was prosecuted when I was growing up, probably 90 percent of the kids I went to school with would’ve served hard time. When you had a birthday, you had to go through the “spanking machine.” I don’t remember any teachers banning that. It was pretty painful too because some people got carried away.
There was tons of other stuff but the same losers who have sexualized toddlers want to think everything is sexual and evil. I pray for those boys and their families. How sad.
These kids are juveniles. Why are their names published and why would this be part of a permanent record? Teen killers get out at 21 and their records are sealed?
Also, we used to get pinched on St. Patty’s day if you didn’t wear green.

Yeah, Zek. You gotta wonder. My brother once had a kid in his classroom - 20 years old or so (still in 11th grade) that had got out of juvee for manslaughter.

The DA is obviously deeply steeped in leftist dogma. Calling this a sex crime and labeling the boys as sex offenders indicates an unusually high degree of advanced mental deterioration.

Now, had it been male on male, and the recipient protested, he’d be convicted of a hate crime.

We didn’t get pinched for that but the point is well made. What upsets me so much about this stuff is that a lot of the stuff, whether it has a sexual undertone to it or not, is just the usual crapola kids do at that age. No problemo if they want to snuff it out but to charge these kids with sex crimes is just outlandish. I wouldn’t be surprised if the very people charging the kids with the crimes aren’t porno-freaks themselves.
Also, if this is going to be a “crime” then do they ban girls from dressing suggestively and ban boys from wearing saggy drawers? I wonder....

I feel so bad about this because this woman went through hell as a young girl, but not as bad as her cousins, and my sister and I knew about it, but didn’t believe it. We just didn’t understand that that kind of evil existed. Now, it’s happening all over again to this woman’s own children and again, we are just voyeurs, looking in, helpless.
