“...its most senior member publicly declared his outrage, saying he’s witnessed one execution..”

What a joke. Grand Kleagle Robert Byrd of the KKK was probably involved in more than 1 execution. Wonder how many people were lynched under his supervision. Lest we forget - this creature sent a letter to then president Truman after WW2 demanding that black and white solders be segregated after they returned home from the front. Scum....this clown has no right to seak about decency.

My Husband has been reading about all this. I cannot believe such a depraved mind made it to the NFL!

Just one more example of debauchery spawned from the world of rap and hip-hop. Rap/Hip-hop videos are loaded with references to dog fighting, pit bulls, etc. Dog fighting may have been around for a while, but the rap culture has glorified it and taken it to a new level.

I want to see a perp walk for Vick and any other fools out there that engage in this. And don't get me started on how cruel and down right idiotic the people are who are involved in this. I have to go with PETA on this one. There is something wrong with a person who does this to a dog.

Camera-hungry Senators looking for another reason to appear in-touch and important.

You can take the gangsta outta the hood but you can’t always take the hood outta the gangsta.

Although the leaked evidence thus far seems pretty solid, of course he’s innocent until proven guilty, but the only thing more idiotic than Vick’s ALLEGED participation in this career-destroying stupidity is the obscene salaries paid these clowns for hurling an oblate spheroid to one another. Those levels give some of them the idea that they’re bulletproof and outside the rules applied to mere mortals like the morons whose season tickets and product purchases make those salaries possible and give these guys hero status.

They are hardly heroes.

The REAL heroes are dodging bullets and IEDs in Iraq and Trashcanistan — at 1% (or less) of the pay these clowns get for dodging tackles.

Bracing for massive flames from “da sports fans” in here.

It is comforting that our Senators have taken on this important issue.

They did a great job on the steroid hearings a while back also.

I assume, they will soon start debate on other issues that affect the welfare and security of the United States, like the DC madam case.

The thing about this case that sickens me the worst is having to listen to the sanctimonious boobs on sports radio chastizing Vick in the harshest terms for this and demanding he be punished. Now I think dog-fighting is vile and Vick in particular is scummy to be involved with it, but these phony creeps in the media are the same guys who will actively support pro-abortion politicians to the hilt in no uncertain terms.

The message that they're sending me is: dogs are worth more than human unborn babies. That seems to be about where our "elites" are these days--and it's pretty sad.

I only hope opposing fans give this POS a lot of grief this season-seeing as how the the Falcons\NFL are going to allow him to play (here’s hoping his trial is conducted during the season).
Opposing fans need to bark while he’s on the field, the opponents PA system should be playing “Who let the dogs out”-(yeah like that will happen)
And the fans should pelt this guy unmercifully with dog biscuts (which could then be donated to a local shelter after Vick is forced to pick them up). He should be ostracized by opposing fans-but he won’t be.

Senator Byrd expressed exactly how I feel. At least somebody is talking out against this demented practice. I hope more senators will follow.
