The caller began: "Sir, I'm calling because of some statements you've been making in the past week about the religion of Islam and "
Boortz interrupted: It's a cult, it's not even a religion. "
After a long list of crimes perpetrated all over the world in the name of Islam, the talk host told the caller, "You don't have a word of condemnation in you until the non-Islamic world rises up and starts to make it clear that we are fed up with your damned religion. We've had it up to here.
"And somebody, like I said yesterday, somebody needs to grab the Muslim world by the shirt collar, backhand it a good one, knock it into the damn corner and say straighten up or we're gonna eradicate you beetles from the face of the Earth. "
CAIR asked its constituents not to contact Boortz, because he "can and will use any comments to further defame Islam and Muslim."
"This clip was offered only to demonstrate

But being opposed to terrorism and religious intolerance isn’t helped by hypocritically stating to an entire religion “we’re gonna eradicate you beetles from the face of the Earth”.
You and I both know that is not what was said, but I’m sure that CAIR will see it that way.
There is a little matter of the missing, “Straighten up”. Something I am quite sure Neal knows is a Muslim impossibility, short of a giant coming to Jesus event.
If Neal really gets pissed off, he’ll sic Belinda and Royal on old Ibriham.
Strictly speaking, it’s a form of Theistic Satanism.
What are you talking about?
I've never "tried to equate Christianity & Judaism with Islam".
I'm a Christian who believes Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life...and that ALL other religions are FALSE.
You've obviously misinterpreted my objections to starting a religious war as agreement with every religion.
I would like to think you are intellectually sophisticated enough to see the difference.
BUMP
Neil Boortz is right. It’s a cult. A cult which worships a pedophiliac. Heck, he created the cult to justify his own pedophilia. Then others followed.
go figure
Why stop with Mecca? That would be just a good place to start.
Fixed another, I'm on a roll.
I’ve spent a good deal of time here lately defending the idea that the majority of Muslims, especially in this country, are decent people who deplore violence.
However, I do see some validity to the notion that even the non-extremist portion of the faith is being permiated by creeping cultism. For example, 25-30 years ago it was rare even in Dearborn Michigan to see Islamic women covering up their heads, let alone their entire bodies. But today it’s rare when you don’t see such garb.
One characteristic of a cult is the way it raises coercion above the level of individual free will. I have to say that I’m concerned about that even among many moderate Muslims. Note the great and growing reluctance among many of them to speak out against the extremists.
I'm a regular Maytag Repairman!
Why in the world did Minnesota elect that guy? What is going on up there?
“”You seem to share with Neal a talent for stating your opinion as if it constitutes a fact.””
Actually, I was using the definition postulated by the Cult Awareness Network before the Scientologists bankrupted it and took it over.
“”The official position of the RCC was strongly opposed to religious freedom right from the time it gained political power through the late 19th century. I believe it did not officially accept the concept of religious freedom till the 1960s.
So was it a cult all that time?””
The difference is that they weren’t out hunting down and killing people who disagreed with them. Similar to people who left the RCC. I don’t recall that they had beheaded an apostate since the Spanish Inquisition. Or burned one, or what have you. Pronouncing that you’re excommunicated is quite a long trek from sending a hit squad after you.
“BTW, I’m not trying to be ad hominem. I’m trying to get someone to come up with a rational definition for “cult” that would include Islam but not a great many religions, now or in the past, that are widely accepted in America today.”
Then don’t start lumping people in with groups like the Know-Nothings and so on. A good starting place is that non-cults don’t try to kill people who leave, don’t harass them using the court system, or try to ruin them ( like Scientology does). Islam has a real physical and temporal death penalty for leaving. I can’t think of any religion here in the US that does that.
“It’s time to accept the fact Islam must be destroyed.”
I could not agree with you more. Islam is a malignancy which must be destroyed. We have the means, but lack the will. The will will come with time.
Some wise American jurist, I think it was a 19th century SCOTUS Justice, once said that the Constitution is not a suicide pact. Allowing a demonic death cult such as Islam to live among us while it metastasizes like a cancer in our flesh is the same as committing suicide. If they ever get their way here every American will either convert to Islam, live in virtual slavery as dhimmis, or be killed.
Actually, according to the Koran only "people of the book" i. e., Christians and Jews, can be allowed to have the "privileged" status of dhimmihood. People of all other religions or no religion must either convert to Islam or be killed.
I would just like to point out that Rome did try to dissuade Ferdinand and Isabella from instituting the Inquisition. But they would not be dissuaded and Rome reluctantly gave their blessing.
In part at least the Inquisition was a form of ethnic cleansing after the Christian Spanish managed to drive out the Muslim Moors.
South Carolinians call every one a damn Yankee.
I was at Ft. Jackson in Columbia for awhile and I was called a damn yankee at least once a week.
Who was that Supreme Court Justice who said once, "the Constitution is not a suicide pact"?
Islam is based on a screed which recognizes NO (shouting intended) "freedom of religion" or "tolerance of [the] different beliefs" of others. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Are you unfamiliar with the terms, "infidel" and "dhimmitude"?
Quite frankly, I will exercise my own First Amendment rights and state that I do not consider Islam to be a bona fide "religion", nor do I believe that either Islam or its followers should be covered under the protections of our Constitution and its amendments, first and following. I will go further and state that I believe that the Constitution should be changed to reflect this, and that - someday, perhaps after a nuclear attack upon America - it WILL be changed to exactly that.
This is called "self preservation" in the face of an enemy that would use our own freedoms to gain the necessary power to enslave us. And I have no qualms - NONE - about denying Islamics that freedom and power.
That is strictly my own opinion, but I daresay that many other members of this forum share similar beliefs that are not far removed from my own.
