Who was that Supreme Court Justice who said once, "the Constitution is not a suicide pact"?
Islam is based on a screed which recognizes NO (shouting intended) "freedom of religion" or "tolerance of [the] different beliefs" of others. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Are you unfamiliar with the terms, "infidel" and "dhimmitude"?
Quite frankly, I will exercise my own First Amendment rights and state that I do not consider Islam to be a bona fide "religion", nor do I believe that either Islam or its followers should be covered under the protections of our Constitution and its amendments, first and following. I will go further and state that I believe that the Constitution should be changed to reflect this, and that - someday, perhaps after a nuclear attack upon America - it WILL be changed to exactly that.
This is called "self preservation" in the face of an enemy that would use our own freedoms to gain the necessary power to enslave us. And I have no qualms - NONE - about denying Islamics that freedom and power.
That is strictly my own opinion, but I daresay that many other members of this forum share similar beliefs that are not far removed from my own.

So what are you saying?
America should apply religious freedom and tolerance ONLY to those religions which share the SAME TOLERANCE?
And ALL other religions should be outlawed and banished?
Are you kidding?
Yawwnnnnn. Plenty of Protestants don't consider Catholicism to be a bona fide religion.
Guess we should remove their Constitutional protections.
