COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- In a study co-authored by an Ohio State professor, whites were asked how much money they'd want if they had to live the rest of their lives as blacks.
The typical answer was about 15-hundred dollars.
Compare that to the one million dollars the same people said they'd need to swear off T-V for the remainder of their lives.
Psychology professor Philip Mazzocco from Ohio State's Mansfield campus says the findings suggest whites aren't bothered by the idea of being black. He says whites may be ignorant of the difficulties many blacks still face because of their skin color.
They must have polled “Poor white trailer park trash”.......
Skin color is probably the _least_ important thing.
Most of the difficulties I see people have due to the color of their skin...is typically self-imposed.

Unless you are trying to get into college or receive govt benefits. In that case skin color is very important.
Yeah, if you are talking about the poor folk living in the ghetto. Lots of bad choices there, but I had a bunch of well of black friends in prep school, and they were hassled purely because of their skin color.
Wow - this sounds like a very scientific study. Maybe not quite as scientific as the latest CNN online poll, but pretty close.

Most of the problems blacks face have little to NOTHING to do with their skin color.
Their skin color doesn’t cause them to walk out into traffic pulling up their falling down pants and then glare at drivers who nearly run them over for idiotically stepping out in front of them.
One time blacks were involuntary slaves.. now many are voluntarily slaves.. Their ancestors are rolling over in their graves.
Ask Michael Jackson.
Imagine the look on Jesse Jackson’s and Al Sharptons faces when they read about it in the NYTimes (and there are many more who would be just as upset).
That alone would be worth it, that’s the cost of four good ball game tickets, or four Rolling Stones tix, or two Barbra Streisand concert seats.
Maybe the professor is ignorant of the fact that most people, including white ones, don't judge a person by their skin color.
