If one could be bold enough to assert that our enemies do not include our own president, George W. Bush, we can make progress toward identifying them.
Below are a few foes and some of our own policy and opinion makers. Take the test and see how good you are at identifying those that would destroy us and those in and out of power that play the politics of terrorism to our detriment.

Know the difference between a parade and a charade
It is clear from the 29-21 Dem senator vote to go to war in 2002, which followed the vote for regime change in Iraq in 1998, we considered Saddam an enemy worth going to war with on both sides of the aisle. Whats changed between those votes?
The attacks and murders of 3,000 innocent Americans on 9/11/2001, along with the temporary destruction of part of our economy and the symbolic attack on our culture, government, religious freedom, and financial centers. The analogy is the attack on Pearl Harbor. The day after FDR declared war on Japan knowing that Germany and Italy would follow with their own war pledge against the USA.
Only 9/11 was much worse.
With almost the entire world concluding that Saddam had and was developing WMDS, what president, Dem or Repub, could take a chance? Even poll watcher, Bill Clinton, might have acted if still in office! Besides, if Iraq wasnt home to many al-Qaeda then, it certainly is now.
Better Baghdad than Boston, Ramadi than Rhode Island, and Fallujah than Florida.
Facts are that we havent had an attack on American soil in the almost 6 years. To take the lives of those patriotic 3,500 American troops that sacrificed to achieve the goals already achieved and those sought is a crime the far left is trying to hang on Bush, at the expense of enabling our enemies to attack us in our homes, including our fruited plains and bustling cities.
Is that worth the power they seek?

Aww. You should have waited with the answers.
I got a few wrong.;^)
My opinion on what changed AFTER those two votes - the 2002 midterm elections, held less than a month after the Joint Resolution was approved in October of 2002. People forget that the 29-21 Democrat vote was in a Senate led by the DEMOCRATS! (thanks to Jumpin' Jim)
Why in the bloody hell would people who have been on the wrong side of national security for years, in a party known for the same, suddenly be gung-ho hawks? The prospect of electoral success. The Republicans had run the House since 1994, had the Senate in the 2000 election but lost it when Jeffords jumped, regained the White House (in what the Left still believes was a stolen election)...
A year after 9/11, when the outrage and death was still fresh on America's mind, there was no way these chicken****s were going to appear weak on National Security and Foreign Policy.
Well, a month after the AUMF vote, the Democrats did not regain the House - they wouldn't, for another four years - AND lost the Senate, which they wouldn't regain until four years later. It was amazing to me, how quickly they reverted to form. I wasn't following politics that closely, before mid to late 2003. I remember all the stories about Iraq being a quagmire, and I remember thinking to myself,
"How can Iraq be a quagmire? The war hasn't even started yet?" And the same people who were calling it a quagmire, were the ones who had voted for the AUMF a few months prior.
