These comments by Bill are pretty lame by comparison to some I can recall. How these were picked as violator worthy I have no idea.
This entire event is reminiscent of something that you would expect to see performed by the Stasi not a department of a Free and democratic country. I'm still left shaking my head in disbelief.

That's it, infidels, you have been discriminated against. I wonder now if I'm a human rights violater too because I printed this. Maybe if somebody quotes they will become criminals too. You can't tell with the Human Rights Commission, they make it up as they go along.Pay attention here folks.

Kind of like Christians when they read out loud from the Bible and/or pastors preach on the topic regarding homosexuality. Some countries find this a “hate crime.”
Political correctness...

Do you think that this is an attack on the Wilkins ClanI don't think so. I think that this is someone who has taken great offense by a certain poster and she has decided that the site should pay

Connie ( Sysop ) sums it up:
I don't want to see people turn on Bill for this. If it hadn't been him, it would have been someone else. We always knew that it would only be a matter of time until we would have to defend our freedom of speech here. That is the reason we have always had our server in the US where we have 1st Amendment rights.
We don't run a hate site. We have removed posts and we've banned members who have posted hateful garbage. And, we can't let our political enemies use hate crime legislation as a club to beat us into the ground. We have to stand together and stare them down.
If Free Dominion goes down it is only a matter of time before we lose every conservative site in Canada.

I cannot believe this vile woman would DARE to complain about this?? What are we coming to in Western Civilization where we cannot even speak the truth about a murderous ideology such as Islam?
And the irony again is that if Islam ever gains control in the West, the first people to be executed will be the liberals that they so hate and despise yet happily use........
Absolutely brutal....our continued 2 front war continues...islam and liberalism....and I do not know which is more dangerous?
Paycheck Comments:
Nothing Bill Whatcott has said is "hate". His approach might be controversial, but there is nothing wrong about being controversial, especially if you are telling the truth about historical facts. In fact, I consider some of his actions quite refreshing at times.
Muhammed was a false prophet because he denied the Son of God. That's what every real Christian believes. Is that a "hate crime"? Furthermore, Bill is very careful to distinguish between the extremist Muslims and their violence on the one hand and other Muslims on the other.
If Bill goes down on this, it will be a serious blow to religious freedom and the ability to criticize any religion, especially Islam. It will effectively help put the muzzle on any legitimate criticism of Muhammed. I'm sure the CBC will be just groovy with that, but the rest of us won't be so lucky.
Folks, we are making light of this now, but if this complaint succeeds against EITHER FD (Connie or Mark) OR Bill, a very dark cloud will be hanging over this country. Don't think we can just say "Oh, it's just Bill." Because Bill is saying things that many of us think, but just don't have the balls to say it in quite the very frank way that he does.

Let me ping myself, and add this:
If you want to see what Islam is really like, see this:
-Islam, a Religion of Peace®? The Most Damning links...--
Use the links- read the comments- watch the videos.
I am the author of "Islam, a Religion of Peace®?" and I stand by everything I have ever posted about it-- it is a Death Cult, masquerading as a religion.
Islam hates women, the truth, and freedom. And free-thinking.
"Useful Dupes" on the Left have deluded themselves in to thinking that they can use Islam for their own purposes to demean, or destroy Western culture, and then discard it.
But they will be among the first to fall beneath the bloody scimitar, if their goals are realized.
Free Dominion's stake, and fight, in this matter affect us all.
A free, and self-governing country-- and I do not care whether you are talking about Canada, or us-- cannot coexist under the jackboot of Star Chambers and censorship.
They are utterly incompatible.
Stand up, and be counted now--
--or be silenced, forever and ever...

Those quotes attributed to this Bill Whatcott (is he the guy in the picture?) are pretty innocuous compared to some of the things on FR (which freepers should be able to post, even if personally disagree with it—religion is something people can change).

The United States isn't fully capitalist, nor should it be. Agriculture is subsidized, airlines can file for bankruptcy protection, etc. Some manufacturing should also be subsidized (and less agriculture).
The country should try to keep the ability to be self-sufficient in producing enough food for all Americans and manufacturing war materials if the country is forced to fend for itself in a time of war.
It's almost pointless if you can design superb, new, advanced, and powerful weapons, but don't have the infrastructure to produce them.

He's abrasive, no doubt about it, but Mark and Connie at FD take pains to remove truly hateful or obscene postings on their board- in my opinion, it is one of the best-run forums on the net.
The problem is, in Canada, they have these quasi-legal entities like the CHRC which have the authority of law ( fines and prison ) without the safeguards and accountability present in The Queen's Courts up there.
Basically, anyone can make an accusation, the accused has no right to avoid self incrimination, confront accusers, and "the truth is no defense," to use their own words.
We call this "a kangaroo court."

Faramir says:
Reign in or end the activities of the CHRC
The Canadian Human Rights Commission is a quasi-judicial star chamber and is an infringement on the freedoms of Canadians. They have used their hate speech provisions to fine Canadians for expressing their opinion. One such Canadian, Terry Tremaine, was found guilty for posting opinions on an American website called Stormfront. His views are repulsive but he should be free to state them.
The latest victim is a website called Free Dominion, a collection of social and fiscal conservatives of various viewpoints. This website is under attack because a member expressed opinions on Islam that a member of the public did not like. To hold Free Dominion liable for someone's ( else's ) opinion is ludicrous. The forum posters are not employees and are not columnists. In any case, what they expressed were opinions. This should not be a matter for some Star Chamber, but the discretion of website owners.
I know our Prime Minister is a conservative, and as such, supports freedom of speech, and a Canada free from the strong arm of the nanny state.
I implore you to shut down the hate speech function of the CHRC. Their main function is suppose to be to review charges of employer discrimination. They should stick to that and leave the internet alone.
