A “very preliminary” report by law enforcement in Maryland has come across the wire saying that an anarchist group is looking to deface the Wall on September 15th during ANSWER’s rally in Washington, D.C.

This will not be allowed to happen, period. We are acting on this intel and we’re certain that Eagles will be there in force to assure the safety and sanctity of our hallowed grounds.

Be aware–September 15th will be quite a showdown. Please consider either being there yourself or helping someone else get there by donating to GOE.

Thank you for your continued support. EAGLES UP!

The girls of The DailyKos must be tired of waiting for their metrosexual boyfriends to take action.

I swear there would be murder. My father's best friends are on that wall

If you're planning on defacing that wall, ANSWER, some of your members are likely to go home in a pine box..

Waiting for the Kos boys to service themselves and their favorite pets is not very appealing - why discuss it?

I’m with you!

Again I ask, why would women wait for the Kos boys to crawl out from under rocks and dress in women’s clothing to prance about with gerbils. Simply beyond me.

As Tommy Franks said to the returning soldiers when confronted by anti-war portesters: “Just look his girlfriend in the eye and wink, Because you know she knows she’s dating a pussy”

Sounds like somebody is committed to a short life span.

I suggest they save the trip and go deface the Crosstown Crips graffiti instead.

Should make sure that these commies are aware that if they deface the wall, they will be killed.

Not condoning that, just stating a fact. My FIL, were he present at such an event would likely do so. He lost fellow Marines at Da Nang/Khe Sahn and won’t accept someone making a shallow political point at the expense of those patriots.

I suspect other Marines, Soldiers, Airmen have the same attitude.

One wonders what such a protest is trying to achieve. I cannot imagine them endearing themselves to anyone with such an action. Even commies have their own war memorials.

Act Now to Stop War and End Racism — also known as International ANSWER and the ANSWER Coalition — is a American protest organization involved in the post-9/11 anti-war movement.

Formed in the wake of the September 11th attacks, on September 14, 2001, by Ramsey Clark and members of the International Action Center.

ANSWER characterizes itself as anti-imperialist, and its steering committee consists of socialists, Marxists, civil rights advocates, and left-wing progressive organizations from the Muslim, Arab, Palestinian, Filipino, Haitian, and Latin American communities. Many of ANSWER’s leaders were members of Workers World Party (WWP) at the time of ANSWER’s founding, and are current members of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), a Marxist-Leninist organization that formed in 2004.

ANSWER was established by the International Action Center (IAC), which was founded by former United States attorney general Ramsey Clark and the Workers World Party.

As of December 2006, ANSWER’s Steering Committee consists of:

* Alliance for Just and Lasting Peace in the Philippines
* Free Palestine Alliance — U.S.
* Haiti Support Network
* Kensington Welfare Rights Union
* Korea Truth Commission
* Muslim Student Association — National
* Mexico Solidarity Network
* Nicaragua Network
* Partnership for Civil Justice — LDEF
* Party for Socialism and Liberation
* IFCO/Pastors for Peace

ANSWER, as well as with Not In Our Name (NION) and, more recently, The World Can’t Wait, which have somewhat similar histories, with the Revolutionary Communist Party (USA) having played a significant role in their foundings.

has been accused of antisemitism

In addition to anti-war activism, ANSWER is involved in advocacy for rights for illegal immigrants, for whom it supports immediate and unconditional amnesty. ANSWER became involved in immigrant rights activism through protests against Save Our State, a California-based anti-illegal immigration protest group, and the Minutemen Project, a group which patrols the U.S.-Mexico border to prevent illegal border crossings, and which ANSWER views as practicing racist vigilantism.

ANSWER was more prominent in the promotion of a May Day “Day Without An Immigrant” strike and boycott

Brian Becker, ANSWER’s national coordinator

* Co-director of the International Action Center
* Member of International A.N.S.W.E.R.’s steering committee
* Member of the Secretariat of the Workers World Party

Brian Becker is a Co-Director of Ramsey Clark’s International Action Center (IAC) and a member of International A.N.S.W.E.R.’s steering committee. Both are front groups for the Communist Workers World Party (WWP). Through his association with these organizations, Becker has been a prominent figure in the anti-war movement’s massive rallies against the war on terror.

Becker is a member of the Secretariat of the WWP of the United States, which is a staunch supporter of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il. As Chairman of the “U.S. Troops out of Korea Committee,” Becker has accused the United States of conducting a campaign of genocide against North Korea. He is a contributor to the WWP newspaper Workers World.

On November 6, 2001, less than two months after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Becker called America’s military retaliation against the Taliban regime in Afghanistan “one of the great crimes and acts of terrorism.” “Let us not forget,” he said, “that September 11 was not the beginning of violence, but just one point in a long continuum of violence that is fundamentally a consequence of U.S. policies around the world.”

“It’s really not about terrorism but about repression,” he argued. “So-called anti-terrorism laws will be used against the growing anti-war movement. ... Anti-terrorism has replaced anti-communism [as a unifying ideology] in the U.S. and on a global scale.”

He stated that any claims of an Iraqi WMD threat were “all lies—incredible lies.” He identified the world’s foremost nuclear threat as the United States, “the only country to have used atomic bombs, which it did against the civilian cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on Aug. 6 and 9, 1945.” And he asserted that America’s motivation for attacking Iraq was its desire to achieve a “re-conquest of a country that had earlier dared to nationalize Western oil installations.”

The so-called “anti-war” movement of the 1960s (and the seed of today’s so-called peace movement) was pro-Communist. Ask Jane Fonda and the Che worshipping Yippies.

They were traitors as they sided with North Vietnamese troops for “victory”. Doesn’t sound like a peace movement to me. Neither does today’s pro-Palestinian war, anti-Iraq war crowd.

Then again, the American Communists of the 1930s protested against going to war against Hitler’s Nazi Germany until he betrayed their beloved Stalin.

Communism kills. The Communists want to dance on the graves of the Vietnam war veterans.

We've got people in this country with a visceral hatred of everything American.

I doubt seriously Americans would lift a finger...I’ve watched this country become so de-balled in the last 40 years that sometimes I think we should put a fork in it and start over.

Many VN era vets would pummel into submission anyone defacing the wall. The point at which they would stop is in question.
