What's with Laura Ingraham? This morning Peggy Noonan wrote an op ed which included the following criticism of President Bush:
"Every major domestic initiative of his second term has been ill thought through and ended in failure. His Iraq leadership has failed. His standing is lower than any previous president's since polling began.",
Laura loved Noonan's op ed. Go gal, kick him when he's down.
Ingraham is taking herself too seriously. Yesterday she was aghast over security chief Chertoff's "gut feeling." I don't know why. I would appreciate any source regarding security even Chertoff's gut. She also found Chertoff less than handsome. What a cheap shot.
Ingraham lost me when she went over to the dark side on the Foley scandal. She thought Hastert should have resigned for not protecting male pages from gay congressmen.
Bill Kristol, yesterday on her show, suggested that now is the time that talk show hosts should support the president. His comment went right over her head.
Second, Ingraham may be smart but she also has a sharp, bitter tongue. Smart people with smart tongues do not wear well over the long run. Limbaugh is tough but he's never bitter or mean.
Finally, it has become chic and fashionable to gang up on the POTUS, especially inside the beltway. And it is interesting that she is one of the few hosts to be located in Washington.
Bush specifically accused conservatives of fear-mongering and not wanting what is best for America. I was insulted. You should have been too.

Actually, it’s ours. Iraq run by al-qaeda and by Iran is our problem. Genocide in that country in that area is our problem. The kurds breaking off to save themselves and bringing on an invasion from Turkey is our problem. Saying it isn’t won’t make it so.
As for Laura, I like her when she’s decent. Even if I disagree with her on some point. When she becomes a harpy and a shrew, I don’t. That simple.
So which part, exactly, was wrong?
Go gal, kick him when he's down.
Do you expect Laura to be an analyst and commentator, or a cheerleader?
That’s just a start!
Ok Troublemaker, you're next! :)
I guess spouting Democrat talking points has its consequences.
THANK you!
All Bush has needed to do is stand up and fight our treasonous media and go over their heads to tell Americans what is really going on with the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Celebrate some of the successes. Show some positive changes. Make clear what yet needs to be done.
Keep doing it at least once a month with a prime time News conference.
(Average voter “What? You mean we’re still in Iraq? What war?”)
I think they already have a cheap knock off over at Airhead Radio..I think her name is steph miller (?)
She uses the bells and whistles like laura.
Except this Steph chic way over uses them and often without any reason.
Even if someone was a pro-regressive
listener I don’t know how it would’nt give them a headache.
It’s aggravating how so many otherwise intelligent people on our side are buying this “OH NOEZ WE’RE LOSING IRAQ” nonsense.
Nice shot. ;)
This well keep on fighting till we win somehow Bush strategy is a complete loser....If we don’t pull out prior to Jan 2009, There will NOT be a pull out. The Dims want Bush to lose, not them. If a Dim gets in after 2008, this whole PC, nice guy, war will go out the window.
I love Laura Ingraham.
She calls em like she sees em
I agree, I like her and listen everyday.
IMO Bush also called the Minutemen on our southern border “vigilantes”. I found that to be disingenous especially since the Minuteman volunteers Americans and patriots all, are down there on that border doing a job that Bush and Chertoff refuse to do.
They have already been given the ideal exit strategy: Shiites and Suunis start killing each other. If we are lucky it will pull the entire Middle East into a religious war. Done. War on Terror solved: get muslims to do our dirty work for us and kill each other.
That is true the President himself never said that but the Senators with the Talking points like Graham and Martinez did incessantly use that diatribe so it is atleast likely that the administration strategists are the source. The President likely had knowledge of it and further he never said anything to bring them up short in describing people that way. He should have at least distanced himself from that.

If everyone who has posted similar opinions, just on this one thread, were suspended, FR might not ever reach it's third quarter goal. Not all conservatives agree with President Bush's strategy in Iraq..it seems fewer every day. It has nothing to do with Democrats or their "talking Points".
And especially when he shows he is a human being and disagrees with us on an issue, makes a mistake, misspeaks, wears a orange tie, or his hair is mussed. (as evidenced by George Allen, and other in 06)
Once our guys aren’t shiny and new anymore, they are DONE!
We trash them, and move on to a new knight in shining armor.
Spin, repeat.
Thank God for someone like Laura. Standing and not just towing the party line! What’s good for America and what is good for our politicians is becoming increasingly divergent.
