My brother in law lives in Canonsburg, and I'm not to far away in Crafton.

We have a no burning ban, but I got around that by always keeping food near my firepit. That way when the cops stop I tell them it's a cooking fire and they go away. Espically helpful as the entire neighborhood often gathers in my yard for block parties, Halloween and other holidays. Everybody brings whatever they have to burn. Admittedly sometimes the flames do get a little big, hehehe!

I wouldn't be surpsied if Crafton gets a no grilling ban too. Sigh...the great socialist cesspool that is Western Pennsylvania!

Crafton’s got bigger problems than banning Bar B Que’s....

Like a collapsing sewer infrastructure that the EPA is going to stop being nice about..... A borough council that is completely inept and alienates every other government agency in the state..... Code Enforcement officers who think they are Gods and generally on a downward trend.

If Crafton doesn’t get its act together soon, it’ll be looking up to Sheraden.

People hate freedom and consistantly vote against it in every election pretty much nationwide. Watch fo this guy to get re-elected next time around or replaced by another statist just like him.

Reading the whole article, I was surprised to learn that we finally have a case where secondhand smoke is being banned from a source other than those nasty, stinky old cigarettes and cigars.

Now the “better-than-thous” can get bit in the “butt” for a change.

Can cabbage be far behind?

At first I thought it was to prevent wildfires which would make sense to me, but the mayors reason is just stupid. Next we will ban grills because of global warming and the lung cancer risk.

It doesn’t say in the article, but I bet you anything that the person who complained is a vegetarian.

I once heard one say, "just the smell of burning meat makes me sick".

Just a thought: in the Old Testement, didn't God like the smell of burning meat? (burnt offerings on the altar)
