Moonbat art at Portland Airport

Radio talk show host Lars Larson wants to know if you think it’s appropriate to display this anti-American “art” at the tax-funded Portland Airport:

IMAGE

Christian-bashing? Check.

Anti-gun message? Check.

Anti-war zealotry? Check.

Anti-capitalism symbolism? Check.

American flag mockery? Check.

I agree with Lars: This should not hang in a public space.

Michael Moore’s living room? Nancy Pelosi’s beach house? Fine.

But in a publicly-subsidized airport? No. What’s next: A display of the soldier burnt in effigy in Portland earlier this spring? Or how about the flag that was defecated upon by a Portland peacenik at the anti-war rally?

Contact the Portland airport authorities here.

(Email addresses above.)

To the Portland Airport and its Executive Director:

I have seen a picture of artwork on display at your publicly funded airport depicting a skull, Christian crosses, dollar signs, a version of the United States flag, and machine guns.

May I be allowed to post my art at your airport too?

It includes the Islamic crescent, a skull with a turban, blood dripping from daggers, and al-queda’s flag, emphasizing the color green. The World Trade Center Towers form an integral part of this art.

You would never allow such art work as mine.

Why do you allow anything similar then?

Are you running an airport or a political discussion?

Don’t take this as a threat in any way. I am just asking for equal time to show my art work, as you have shown you are willing to show “edgy” art that people find dubious. My art is dubious too.

Sincerely,

Put this into context with the recent flag burning and defecating-on-a-flag, and what have you got?

My library has been handing out those Al Gore light bulbs, and the librarian nearly had a heart attack when I politely refused my bulb because, I told her, they contain mercury and I didn’t want to contaminate my home if one of them broke. She didn’t know.

Are you speaking from personal experience or just parroting all of the anti-California hype that non-Californians post?

Too blame California for anything and everything that is leftist or liberal is just a lame-duck argument. Most of California is made up of other folks from other states that then want to return to their “roots” to plant the seeds of all their kumbayah liberalism.

Get off your high rocking horse and get real. We conservatives in this state fight like hell to keep the liberals at bay, and although we’re not entirely successful, we are successful enough to keep them on their guard.

The sad thing is they have already begun to infest my beautiful New Mexico also.

The only “safe” place in both states is way out on the high plains away from the sushi bars and “Art” galleries.

And I like real art!

The worst anti-Christian art that I have ever seen is plastered all over the Denver airpot. It provides a terrible aura. I couldn’ wait to get out of there.

It’s funny in a way, because most of the folks that I know who are leaving CA. are conservatives. I know one Conservative Democrat, if there is such a thing, who will be moving to AZ in a couple of years who is vehemently opposed to illegal immigration and is fairly conservative as it relates to the role and size of gov’t., so I personally can’t make the connection when folks blame CA liberals for all of their own states ills.

It seems like there is “Conservative Flight” from CA., not liberal flight. The libs love it here, they’re creating their “Socialist Utopia” one election at a time.

If it makes you feel any better, I’ll be moving East once I can find other employment that pays at or near the same.;-) I’ll follow the jobs until retirement.

Cheers,
SZ

So why is it that the really beautiful land between Montana and New Mexico is owned by Hollywoood glitterati of the Jane Fonda type.

Case in point for N.M. Look at the Santa Fe-Taos areas. Fonda’s ranch near Raton (Vermejo Park). And this is just two examples.

California was beautiful forty years ago but it now has too many fruits and nuts and gun jokes, er, that is laws.

Perhaps there should be a “fairness doctrine” applied to public art.

Well, I’m not priveleged enough to be “glitterati”. I’m talking about average folks who’ve had enough and are leaving.

No argument from me about Hanoi Jane.

...CNN propaganda...

Ha. At the Eugene airport (rather small, with just a couple boarding areas), a few years ago during the last remodel the local Fox TV affiliate donated a couple big screens and cable subscription for viewing in the boarding areas, and they were hardwired on Fox News.

It was not until some time last year that local pinko activists started complaining about the Eugene airport (of all places) force feeding it's patrons the evil right wing programming. Fox held that their TVs would remain tuned to Fox News or be removed. We flew out of there a few months ago but it was early in the morning and I don't remember what was on the tube except that it was pure crap, and that could have been any channel.

Whoa there a minute partner, the whole state of Oregon outlibs California. The tree nuts and grass huggers were that way long before Californians moved up there. You need to wake up and realize the problem isn’t Californians. The Californians that are leaving are leaving because of all the people that came there from other states because they couldn’t make a living where they lived. You want to do something about a liberal mentality, start shutting down these liberal universities in every state then you’ll get rid of your libs.
