Here is an insightful analisis of the constitutional aspects of agents’ convictions. The author claims, and very convincingly so, that the smuggler had no constitutional rioghts in the U.S. that the agents allegedly violated. I wonder if their lawyers are aware of this neat argument.

The Senate Committee on the Judiciary has scheduled a “Hearing to Examine the Prosecution of Igancio Ramos and Jose Compean” for Tuesday July 17th, 2007 at 10:00am in Room 226 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
Senator Feinstein will preside.
