“I think it is a mistake to make so much of a simple word.”
In a PC world, the word used trumps everything. Meaning, intent and context are nothing.

N-Word Please!

Jason Whitlock (KC Star) was on TV yesterday, pleading for blacks to stop using this term, as it shows disrespect when they speak to each other in this manner. Some other black professor from whatever university (sorry I didnt pay closer attention now) was vehemently against that logic, stating that it was just fine for blacks to use this term amongst themselves, as long as its only THEY who do so. OK, I can work with this sort of logic. This has to mean that it's also OK for non-blacks to use the word whenever they want to, as long as they keep it among themselves and don't call a black person that to his or her face.
Hey, isn't that how it really works anyway? That just kind of takes the PC right out of it, and re-establishes "guys' rules" - meaning you never say anything to somebody else that might result in getting punched out.

I, for one, will never use the word "nagger" again! Thanks to backinthefold for the ping!
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

Somehow, I don’t think the funeral from an outdated, racist organization will have any effect on the big money making “artists” who say that the word is part of their culture.

Is it alright to use ‘niggardly’?
If we are gonna continue cutting out usable words, we don’t want to get too niggardly about it.

The more an antagonizer nows it bothers them, the more they will use it.
