...New Jersey Law Against Discrimination..."offer goods, services, and facilities to the general public" are prohibited from "directly or indirectly denying or withholding any accommodation, service, benefit, or privilege to an individual" on the basis of sexual orientation. They weren't denied on the basis of "sexual orientation" they were denied because "civil unions are not allowed".........

Someday, and event like this may result in a far more ferocious response than the homosexualists could possibly expect.

Never been to New Jersey so I must assume that this Pavilion is the only suitable place in the state for this "civil union ceremony" because, if it isn't, then the couple is simply using their "civil rights" to force themselves on people they know don't approve of their actions. Course, no one would seriously use their "wedding" to make a political statement like that, would they? (Do I have to add the ?)

...civil union ceremony = STATE
...Methodist-owned campground = CHURCH
OK! Let's keep the church and state separated.

But it is private property! Sort of like saying -- no shirt, no shoes -- no service...
So if you are NOT a member in good standing in our church... you don't have the right to get married here.
I could be wrong but I don't remember anything in the US Constitution that gives anyone a right to get married anywhere they please...
Methinks this lesbian couple is deliberately looking for a fight to do two things -- make loads of money and to cram sexual orientation down the throats of established religions...

Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile. This is why you don’t give in to any form of gay unions. They don’t need them and they don’t deserve them either.
To: bahblahbah
First they want “civil unions” then marriage then they want to FORCE you to allow use of your property. What a gay group of people.

Of course if the Plaintiffs win the gays will be able to force any and every Church in NJ to perform and allow gay marriages or civil unions in any place or fashion normal people are allowed to to the same. Thus the Church is forced to choose between violating the Word or dispensing with marriage ceremonies - the first sacrament mentioned in the Bible.

When I was in grade school thru High School. I played in the Ocean Grove Summer Band and which had many concerts in that pavilion. It is right on the beach and directly in front of the Great Ocean Grove Auditorium. This small town, which borders Asbury Park to the North, is unlike any other place in NJ. My wife and I lived in the Grove for our first two years together.
When I was very young, the Blue Laws in the town forbade any vehiculat traffic on Sunday and you couldn’t even have your car parked on the streets on Sunday. The town has a number of entrances and those entrances were clogged with cars over the weekend.
Ocean Grove also contains numerous Victorian Style Homes and the tents for the old camp meeting in the vacinity of the auditorium. The town is referred to as “God’s square mile”. Nice place to visit but expensive. If you are at the jersey shore in Monmouth county, it is worth the time to visit. Hopefully this lawsuit will go in the favor of the Camp Meeting Association. Some traditions should remain traditions.

“Those who make decisions are bound to the United Methodist Book of Discipline, which states that homosexual unions cannot be performed in church buildings, whether by clergy or lay people,” he said.
Cool - let’s try to rent a gay bar on a saturday night for a private-sale gun show.
I’ll bring the bullets.
To: bahblahbah
Wait a minute. This can’t be. METHODISTS in New Jersey oppose “same-sex marriage”??? I was practically called a bigot at a Methodist church in NJ because I said I opposed it. The woman there said her pastor might even perform such marriages.
* kicking myself *
I should’ve gone over her head to the pastor myself. :-(
