One of my grandmother's favorite colloquialisms was: "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck; it's probably a duck." Let us begin exchanging the word "duck" for Muslim, since they have orchestrated the last 11,000 terrorist acts around Planet Earth. England's Prime Minister may want to avoid angering Muslims (the audacity!) but the 3 Middle Eastern physicians dedicated to blowing up Scotland's Glasgow Airport this past week were...Muslim. Secular humanists and "mother ship" worshipers may not want to "offend" Muslims who slaughter non-Muslims daily somewhere on this planet, but since Muslims have butchered nearly 8 million non Muslims the past 30 years, I think we can safely say this duck has a label.
Politicians and liberal media, believe that any reference to religion in the public arena is naive, old fashioned, and illegal, even on this large quacking duck called Islam. They worship at the altar of political correctness, arrogantly defining morality in terms set-forth by liberal lawyers and courts under the rubric of freedom of religion, even if it will kill them (and us). These are the same birdbrains who would point at my grandmother's duck and add "Before calling this a duck, I think further investigation is required to make absolutely sure, then a committee to decide and rule on the findings"...

According to PM Brown, the UK terrorists are not “Muslims,” they are “doctors.”
“Not every Muslim is a terrorist, but just about every terrorist IS a Muslim, specifically males from 18 to 45. End of story. Therefore, we should focus our suspicions on that demographic group and heighten the scrutiny they are subjected to in life. It is called good policework and national security, not racism.”

To use integrity and common sense when it conflicts with any leftist political agenda is highly frowned upon. It's called "political correctness."
I’ll second that.
Thanks for posting the quote Cowdog77.
“Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”
I didn’t write the quote but wish I had.
Robert DeNiro, in “Cape Fear” spoke of the 9 circles of hell. Which is it?
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Perfect!
“One of my grandmother’s favorite colloquialisms was: “If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck; it’s probably a duck.”
Grandma liked overdone cliches...
“Planet Earth”
...and so does grandson. But this is just untenable —
“Secular humanists and “mother ship” worshipers may not want to “offend” Muslims...”
This secular American says screw you and the high horse you rode in on. Defending the country against radical Islam is as important to secular humanists as to the braying religious.
Yes, and I agree. But you see, it's so much more satisfying when one has the additional strength of religious conviction. There's nothing quite like the belief that one has God/Yahweh/Allah/Zeus on one's side, to make one feel righteous.
Note however, that one must have a different religion from the one being fought against. If the religion of the high-horse rider is the same as that of the one being fought, then finer and finer distinctions have to be made, for instance between Christians (Protestant vs. Catholic), or between sects of Protestants, or between Sunni and Shiite Muslims, or in a pinch, between competing groups of the same sect who differ on who was there first, or who has the hairier prophet. (Very vew successful prophets have been clean-shaven.)
Having been raised in a mix of Catholic and Episcopalian traditions myself, I find watching religious battles tedious after the first few minutes. It's all been said and done before.
Defending America against her enemies, on the other hand, is (or damn well should be) a top priority regardless of one's religious beliefs or lack thereof. Thank you for making that point.
Thanks for that.
There are Seven Heavens, which is why being in Seventh Heaven is such a wonderful thing. It's the top place to be.
Dante ain’t Vergil.
but since Muslims have butchered nearly 8 million non Muslims the past 30 years
Where do these stats come from?
True enough, but Virgil, the Roman poet was the person who in Dante’s Inferno conducted his (characters)tour through the lower levels.
