You are so sweet--especially for not pointing out how much more dad has grown. We definitely need to get together before the summer is over.
Gotta show off CDBear's latest project. This is a "comfortgan" that she put together for an injured soldier. Folks from all over the nation sent the squares to her and she assembled them into the afgan. It's something that the members of her crochet forum do. The tags you see on each square identify the maker of the square.
She actually got enough squares that she is going to make a second afgan for the soldier's mom.

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT Showing support and boosting the morale of
our military and our allies military
and the family members of the above.
Honoring those who have served before.
Welcome to the Canteen, Clarinet_King, CDBear, and NerdDad, where we honor our troops, our veterans, their families, and our allies every day. We are here 24(mostly)/7/365 to provide a place for our military to stop in, pull up a chair, enjoy a joke, hear a song (requests taken), read some history, enjoy a cyber meal (no calories), hear about our families lives, join in the silliness, and just relax. Thank you for your service to our country.
All who honor our troops, veterans, their families, and our allies are welcome to join in the every day honoring. We have serving troops, veterans, family members, allies, and those who just wish to help honor them here every day.
Politics is kept to a bare minimum, as there are plenty of threads on FR to choose from.

Hi Connie
Oh no 112 degrees. That’s brutal. I hope you are having a wonderful 4th of July! :)
We did get to see neighbors set of some impressive fireworks, even though it was raining. My daughter and I sung patriotic songs and got soaked. It was fun! :)
HUGS!

Nope, you are confusing me with my friend Marisa. My eyes are as brown as my hair.....hehehe
-Marisa is the one with the blue eyes and the eyeglasses
To: LadyPilgrim
Dusty is doing great. He is stationed in CA right now. He is within 3 weeks of completing his Marine enlistment. He and his darling wife now have 2 gorgeous children - boy and girl.
His mom is so excited anticipating having the family (especially those grandbabies) back home next month.
