You heard right.
Freeper "pissant" has been in a discussion recently with Sam Hunter, Duncan Hunter's youngest son and a Freeper with the username "Duncan Hunter Ambassador". He was, for a short time, answering questions on behalf of Freepers for a month or so earlier this year until work at the main campaign office became supremely hectic (also, since Hunter's other son returned to active duty, his workload was shifted to Sam).
However, in lieu of the Weekly Answers Thread, Sam Hunter and pissant have managed to arrange something fantastic, with the support of the Jimrob.
In a couple of weeks, a "virtual press conference" will be held here on Free Republic. Before then, Freepers will be able to ask questions for Duncan Hunter to answer. Hunter will answer 15 questions and will relay the answers to Sam or pissant. This will be before the virtual press conference.
pissant will announce the date of the press conference a few days in advance. On the day of the press conference, the 15 questions and Hunter's answers will be posted in a brand new thread.
Here's the best part: Duncan Hunter will remain anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes to chat and converse with Freepers, answering any additional questions they might have. The full details of the press conference are still in the works, but they'll gel together over the next several days.
Any follow-up questions that aren't answered will be answered by Sam in the following days/weeks. They will posted in the same thread as the virtual press conference.
Let's make sure to give them a warm welcome for taking the time to come here and talk with We The People!
A virtual press conference, I like it. An excellent way for a candidate to reach the grassroots.
How soon after Mr. Hunter took office could we expect to see real results with respect to illegal enforcement and sealing the border?
LOL. He already defended Annie Coulter, he’ll probably kick me to the curb.
It’s good to see that Duncan has at least 19 people voting for him.
Seriously though, it is too bad that to get “The Big Mo”, one must have so much “Mo-ney”.
If we could just take Bloomberg’s money and shift it over to Duncan’s campaign, then maybe we could create a real fight for the Whitehouse.
He has repeatedly said that he’ll have the border fence mandate in 2006 up in six months, with private contractors being used to speed up construction.
I most certainly hope so but a bunch of deleted posts would be embarrasing too. :)
How nice of Rep. Hunter to grace FR! He certainly is a brave man and my first choice for President!
I’ll work with the mods to see waht we can do to have some control. :o)
Great work, FRiends!
WTG!
That doesn’t answer my question. The border mandate only covers 700 miles. I want to know about illegal enforcement (what’s not happening now) and sealing the border not just the mandated portion of the wall.
Thank Sam and Roy Tyler, his communications director. :o)
Very embarrassing indeed.
I'm glad he's doing it. He has our full support.
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent NEWS!!!
He has often authored, coauthored, sponsored, and cosponsored legislation to enforce the laws on the books, to remove illegals from federal benefits, and to end the “anchor baby” provision for illegals (because, from a originalist standpoint, the authors of the 14th Amendment never intended for illegals to fall under anchor baby status; only citizens and nationals under our jurisdiction could have anchor babies). And taking past statements and actions into account, the entire border being secured is something he has in mind.
Basically, you know Hunter’s right on enforcing the laws when Michael Chertoff is complaining about him. ;)
WOO HOO! You ‘da men! Thanks for all your tireless work! I can’t wait!
..my picture died
..now it’s back—strange...
What's that they say?
You know you're over the target when your getting flack.
Hey, I’m famous!! woohoo!
I don't quite get it. C_C;
