You heard right.
Freeper "pissant" has been in a discussion recently with Sam Hunter, Duncan Hunter's youngest son and a Freeper with the username "Duncan Hunter Ambassador". He was, for a short time, answering questions on behalf of Freepers for a month or so earlier this year until work at the main campaign office became supremely hectic (also, since Hunter's other son returned to active duty, his workload was shifted to Sam).
However, in lieu of the Weekly Answers Thread, Sam Hunter and pissant have managed to arrange something fantastic, with the support of the Jimrob.
In a couple of weeks, a "virtual press conference" will be held here on Free Republic. Before then, Freepers will be able to ask questions for Duncan Hunter to answer. Hunter will answer 15 questions and will relay the answers to Sam or pissant. This will be before the virtual press conference.
pissant will announce the date of the press conference a few days in advance. On the day of the press conference, the 15 questions and Hunter's answers will be posted in a brand new thread.
Here's the best part: Duncan Hunter will remain anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes to chat and converse with Freepers, answering any additional questions they might have. The full details of the press conference are still in the works, but they'll gel together over the next several days.
Any follow-up questions that aren't answered will be answered by Sam in the following days/weeks. They will posted in the same thread as the virtual press conference.
Let's make sure to give them a warm welcome for taking the time to come here and talk with We The People!
I think Abraham Lincoln was better known for a great deal more than any failed office run. Who are you to diss anyone who has served their nation as admirably as Lincoln, and even paid the price for his accomplishments anyway? You’ve got to be one of those die hard Confederalists, right?
add me to the ping list for this, please!!! how cool!
No. He was an obscure prairie lawyer, but his Republican ideals gained a lot of publicity from the Douglas-Lincoln debates.
The problem with being a Representative is that you are one of 435, representing a small area. Senators represent entire states. The difference in prestige is not insignificant - and it creates major advantages for Senators even over Representatives.
You really need to be less defensive. The question is an honest one - one that should be asked of any of the potential nominees who have no executive experience. There was no offense intended, nor any specific agenda behind the question. It just is an opportunity to ask Rep. Hunter to address a weak point in his resume compared to that of Governor Romney or Mayor Giuliani (each of whom have other weak points).
FYI PING!!
This is wonderful! Any conservative candidate worth his salt should be doing this. Bookmarked for later.
Duncan Hunter Press Conference on FR
Ping!
Duncan, your mindset and political demeanor is so impressive.
Why are you not the front runner to date in your endeavor to become POTUS?
bump
When did a Senator last achieve the position of POTUS and who was it?
Just a little trivia.
>It just is an opportunity to ask Rep. Hunter to address a weak point in his resume....<
I question your motive in asking such a question.
BTW, I am not on the defensive, because I have no reason to be. I am simply correcting your misinformation.
This news is hugh and series. The more I hear from Mr Hunter the more I like and respect him.
That the glass can be half empty instead of half full if one wants it to be perhaps?
What took you so long?
:) There is no halfway with Rep. Hunter.
I know that!
He "ain't" wishy washy because of political confusion!
That's one of his best assets IMO!
>Duncan, yourmindset and political demeanor is so impressive. Why are you not the front runner to date in your endeavor to become POTUS?<
Well, the George Soros owned MSM just might have something to do with that, although Rep. Hunter is making more appearances on TV lately. The media reports only on whom they want to be the nominee, for whatever reason.
I prefer to hear it from Duncan himself.
His word holds more water than yours paperdoll.
(no offense intended)
