The libs were hoping Libby would die in prison before his appeal exposed their misdeeds.

This is Nifongism. A partisan witchhunt. A showtrial.

"This is Nifongism. A partisan witchhunt. A showtrial."

But not against Valerie Plame, it was against Vice President Dick Cheney and his staff. Everyone already knew about Plame.

"Cisco asked JJ why there was no outrage when Clinton pardoned Mark Rich"

One of the biggest scandals of the Bill Clinton Administration was to pardon several criminals in exchange for large contributions to the Clinton Library. The House Committee on Government Reform knew about it and had the evidence, but the Bush Administration and the Justice Department did nothing.

Yep, Jesse Jr. was just caught with his hand in the public pocket on the Airport commission business.

Have to take the heat off some how. Claim that he is being prosecuted for deflection of impeachment. Little late, but heck, it always works.

Firefighters claim racial hiring bias in Dolton

July 3, 2007

STNG News Service

Four former part-time Dolton firefighters claim they were passed over when the department was filling vacancies for full-time firefighters because they are white.

One of the four, a woman, claims her sex also was a factor in her not being hired as a full-time firefighter. The four also claim the village changed the hiring rules that had been in place, to justify the hiring of previously unqualified black applicants.

Additionally, in a lawsuit filed Monday in federal court, the four claim Dolton Fire Chief Jerry McCullough, in a fire department staff meeting in October of 2005, said, “If you’re not black, you’re not getting hired.”

McCullough is not named in the lawsuit as a defendant. Dolton Mayor William Shaw and his brother Robert Shaw are defendants in the lawsuit filed by Doug Brown, Stephanie McKinley-Hart, David Shinault and Donald Shinault.

Prior to 2005, the lawsuit says, the four plaintiffs had been employed for at least two years as part-time firefighters for Dolton, fulfilling one of the requirements for two full-time firefighter positions that were advertised in July 2005.

The four, who met all the requirements for the open positions, applied and were put on an “emergency hire” list, the lawsuit says. The list was given to William Shaw and the village, but, the lawsuit claims, they “refused to hire anyone from the all-Caucasian list of applicants and ordered that new lists be created.”

Between July 2005 and August 2006, several of these lists of all-white applicants “were presented to, denied by and ordered to be redone by village of Dolton and Mayor William Shaw,” the lawsuit says. On Aug. 7, 2006, two African-American males were hired to fill the open spots, according to the suit. “Neither candidate worked previously for the village of Dolton nor met the qualifications for the position as posted,” the suit says.

On Aug. 8, 2006, the village’s Full-Time Firefighters Union filed a grievance to block and invalidate the new hires. On Aug. 9, 2006, the Shaw brothers “held a secret commissioner’s meeting ... to determine how [to] justify the hire of two African-American firefighters despite their apparent lack of qualifications.”

Unfortunately, this Jackson fool will be in Congress for the next forty years. Good argument for term limits.

Good argument for exposing political hucksters to school children. MLK Jr. did positive things. Jesse and his ilk did not.

Fitz ran forward when he didn’t have a case. Therefore the case against Libby was Nifongism.

I agree that the case against Libby was Nifongism, but the other poster said it was a “witch hunt against Plame”.
