Who are the Senators that think 70% of you, don't know anything

First off, CONGRATULATIONS, nothing, and we mean nothing has affected the Legislature branch of government than you did about immigration this past month.  You shut down the phone system for all of the capitol building on Thursday.  You emailed, faxed, wrote, and relentlessly phoned your Senators that this amnesty (immigration) plan was horrible.   In keeping with our great philosophy of providing you with the facts, consider this a reminder when you vote for these Senators at their next election.

Immigration Vote

Grouped by Home State (June 26th 2007)

If they voted YEA, they wanted to give amnesty to Illegal Aliens and really cared less about SECURING OUR BORDERS.

If their name is in RED, some would say they're traitors to you and I.  However, the same vote came about on June 28, 2007.  With your onslaught of phone calls, look who changed their mind.  Makes you wonder if they really got it, or they got a little worried about their re-election status.

Alaska: Murkowski (R-AK), Nay Stevens (R-AK), Nay
Arkansas: Pryor (D-AR), Nay
Iowa: Nay Harkin (D-IA), Nay
Kansas: Brownback (R-KS), Nay
Kentucky: McConnell (R-KY), Nay

Ohio: Brown (D-OH), Nay Voinovich (R-OH), Nay
Virginia: Warner (R-VA), Nay Webb (D-VA), Nay

Even though they finally got it right this time around, it's still real shady on their part not to vote against it in the first place.  Congrats to Alaska, Ohio, and Virginia you changed both of your Senators mind about the vote.  We only post this, because when it comes to election time, we don't want to forget, and if 80% of America can rally around an immigration plan, why can't we still SECURE OUR BORDERS SENATORS?

FYI! Ensign (R-NV) heads the NRSC. Glad to see he changed his vote.

He's way too chummy with Dingy Harry for my liking. And I worked long and hard at the West Sahara GOP office over the years to help him get where he is. No more. I'm a conservative, not a RINO.

Thanks - glad to share...I think you’re correct re: the revised version. I don’t think it ever was printed in its entirity.

Govtrack is a powerful online asset to which I am “addicted”. You can track bills and monitor specific Legislators, view votes by state and party afilliation. I love it...

Re:#57 - wit? LOL...even a blind hog finds an acorn if he’s led under an oak tree and the acorn stays still long enough - but thanks for the compliment...;[)

I enjoyed your post....
Regards!

“The immigration bill failed because the politicians in Washington are out of touch with the American people. The voice of the people is loud and clear - secure the border, enforce the law and no special deal for permanent residency or citizenship for illegals. America will always welcome legal immigration, but as a nation we also insist on the rule of law.”

THANK YOU for that info. I had a bad feeling when I saw he voted to advance this bill the first time.

A bigger problem may be that he is too cozy with Karl Rove who is controlling money in DC for candidates and if you did not support the President on Immigration, chances of getting much help from DC is slim to none. Hopefully, he won’t have the nerve to do it in 2008 like he did in 2004 and 2006 since the President will not be on the ticket.

You shut down the phone system for all of the capitol building on Thursday. You emailed, faxed, wrote, and relentlessly phoned your Senators that this amnesty (immigration) plan was horrible.

Diane Feinstein, a week before the rout groused that she hadn't gotten enough phone calls to worry about opposition to the abortion...

I assume that her phone number was working just fine, then, when the phone system was disconnected.

I love it when a plan comes together...

I love your tag line. However, I would say Bolton would make a better Sec. of State than VP, look at Mike Huckabee for VP, your President pick was right on the money.
