I’m starting to think that the most hated human on the Earth is an ex-gay black conservative.
To: lonestar67
Once you have acted on being gay you have entered into the eternal bliss and sanctity of the true choice.Yuck!

Unfortunately for many of them; death, depression, and self destruction has a powerful attraction.I have never seen any evidence that being gay or straight is a choice. If I did it would make it a lot easier for me to argue against all this "gay rights" crap.

Many people have reported near miraculous deliverances from the presence of the desire, but a more common experience is a slow relearning. Both are valid. Gay is a crutch.

I forgot to add that he has to be a Christian too.

So what else can a person not repent of? Is ex-thief in your list of possibles? And were they born a thief and so couldn't help themselves?
It is interesting how anyone can see the evidence of anatomy and physiology and conclude that a person "is" whatever contrary thing his own warped mind desires. Thinking a thing doesn't make it so. And you do no one any favors by helping them deny reality.

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. I Cor. 6:9-11

Yea. How can you have “ex-gay” if there really is no such thing as “gay” to begin with.
To: Darkwolf377
I’ve always thought that being gay was like being an alcoholic.
You might not be able to ever rid yourself of the inclination, but you can resolve to never take another drink. If you’re gay, you might always have that inclination, but you can live a chaste life.

And were they born a thief and so couldn't help themselves? That you can't see the difference between REPENTING actions and ignoring physical urges (which are not the same as engaging in homosexual acts) says all that needs to be said about this ridiculous "ex-gay" foolishness.

Yea. How can you have ex-gay if there really is no such thing as gay to begin with.Exactly--aren't gays always telling us there's nothing different about their status? So how can you "unbecome" something that is supposedly a mere misunderstanding between straights and gays, which don't exist...
The logic of gays and ex-gays is hilarious.

homosexual is a description of behaviours and activities, not of a state of being.
It is like saying someone is a “shirt wearer”. It is silly. People where shirts or they don’t. Wearing shirts is not a state of being.
Sexual arousal is a response to stimuli both suggested and initiated for that matter. Stroke a penis enough and it will ejaculate. Stimulate the female genitalia correctly and it will initiate an orgasmic wave in the body of a women.
There is no “orientation”. There may be preferences about who one is rolling around with but there is no orientation... except innies and outies.

Great tagline, btw.

” not of a state of being.’
Actually, it is the state of being arousable by the same sex and not the opposite sex. It’s not a preference, it’s a response.

Not magic, but perhaps the working of God in someone’s heart. What’s the issue with that? If God can raise Jesus from the dead, what’s the big deal about His changing the way someone thinks?
