The President today officially nominated Adm. Michael Mullen, to be Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Gen. James Cartwright to Joint Chiefs Vice Chairman.
The President then travelled to the Naval War College in Newport, RI and delievered a speech on Iraq and made a statement on the Senate immigration bill to the press.
The President then went to the family compound on Walker's Point in Kennebunkport, Maine for a long weekend. Later this weekend, his father, former President George H.W. Bush and the current President are scheduled to host Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Today the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with South Korea's Foreign Minister Song Min-soon at the State Department.
Laura Bush and her daughter Jenna are in Zambia today .

I agree! Can’t wait to read Doro’s book. I think the President’s compassion and integrity has brought him through these troubling 7 years and he can still smile and he isn’t too good to cry. I admire this man so much. I think he is a great President and no one will change my mind.

I checked out the recipe - it’s much like one I’ve used for years (but not lately), called Clifton’s Pumpkin Cake and the Cream Cheese Icing.
My recipe must be for a larger cake - more of everything.
I pulled the recipe out of my little tin box I’ve had for a hunnert years. You know, somethings just taste too good to make them. I’d eat it all.
I always thought the cream cheese icing made it yummy.

Well, if truth be known, I do the same thing about using whole toast! The other is actually the original way it was done, but since I love toast so much I've done away with the points and gone for the whole piece.
Must admit, I've never had rabbit, and don't think I ever will, at least knowingly. Afraid I could never get past the image of their eyes. Nope, I'll stick to chicken---they're a tad less cute :-)
