RALEIGH, N.C. (June 27) - Elizabeth Edwards pleaded Tuesday with Ann Coulter to "stop the personal attacks," a day after the conservative commentator said she wished Edwards' husband, Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, had been killed by terrorists

Ann has jumped the shark, IMO, at least when it comes to making off the cuff remarks. She should stick to writing, and she should take her time with that.
"My little Johnny won't be coming into work today. Ann Coulter hurt his feelings. "
"I'll sent a note with him tomorrow. Thank you. "
The leftist are the ones defining ‘hate’ speech. They attach the labels. No one calls anything the left says as ‘hateful’. No one holds them accountable.
political ‘hackery’ is a blood sport and as ugly as it is, I do find it necessary to go ‘tit for tat’ on occasion. I never used to like Ann Coulter but now I’m glad she’s there. I’m just waiting for a good debate which a leftist would devolve into : I’m rubber and you’re glue...
Now for full disclosure my summer read is:
Nonsense
and
How the Left Was Won
“Im not sure that the conservative cause is helped by Coulter immitating Bill Maher.”
_________
Here. Here. I cringe every time I hear someone say, “well they do it too”. It sounds like we are 9 year olds. The point is to be better then them, not the same on the other side of the fence.
Edwards needs to make her husband the victim once again. He’s being beaten up again by big bad Ann Coulter. The commentator brought up her “F” word comment, and she simply pointed out that she was attacked while Bill Maher can express dismay that the Vice President wasn’t killed in a terrorist plot and skate by unscathed. Her comment was completely snide “so I guess I should be saying the too bad John Edwards wasn’t killed by terrorists” (paraphrasing).
Of course Elizabeth Edwards and her husband believe that the entire War on Terror is nothing more than a bumper sticker anyway, so who’s doing the greater harm there, Elizabeth.
As long as it’s clear that she’s referencing that asshole, it’s fine, unlike the way she was misquoted about the fag thing.
Looks a bit too meaty for Ann.
She has little children at home, for goodness' sake.
wow, i GESS LOTS OF LIBS USE aol
I agree.
Coulter’s priority is in how many books she sells, i dont think she gives a rats about advancing the conservative cause.
People still use AOL???
Of course. I have a shed in my backyard constructed entirely of free AOL CDs. I use it every time I work on my lawn.
Fighting cancer and being a mommie to a grown man is tiring.
(The is picture is from the linked article)
My home ISP is a dial-up AOL connection. -Hangs head in shame.
It was a dumb thing to say but after reading the entire context it is typical Ann, playing off the remarks maher spoke about Dick Cheney. No outcry from elizabeth then.
Talk about over the top...a lecture from the likes of the edwards???
Spare me!
Oh, c’mon. I’m going to have to stick up for Mrs. Edwards here and for everyone out there who’s had to undergo radiation and/or chemotherapy. I don’t care who you are, what side you’re on or what clarifying remark you think will give you a pass — it is wrong on every level. It’s like saying, “Wow, her legs look terrible - and I’m not insulting the fact that she’s limbless but speculating on her health.”
