BREAKING: 114-23, House GOP Rejects Senate Amnesty Bill

In a just concluded House GOP Conference voted 114 to 23 to reject the Senate's Amnesty Bill.

Pelosi has now signaled that the House will start fresh on the Amnesty Bill and will not just embrace the Senate version.

It looks like, in fact, the House will . . . dare we say it . . . have committee hearings on the bill.

Nancy Pelosi needs 70 GOP votes as cover. Plus, there are 50 Blue Dogs Dems against Amnesty. So a House majority is standing against the Senate. Its a shot across the upper house's bow. Its the only good news we'll get all year, since Jorge W. sure as hell won't veto Ted Kennedy's masterpiece.

I’m with you . The politicians are totally out of control, all for themselves , the public be damned . We need to clean house. We need to write to EVERY congress person and say simply ,”you vote for this bill and we’ll make sure you are out of office in a year “ . Simple and to the point/ I’m all for a Boston Tea Party type action at this point. emails and faxes are being trashed . Something more dramatic is needed. You are right. Even, as dumb as she is, she isn't stupid. She knows how unpopular this bill is in the land and if the democrats pass it in the house they will hand the republicans a golden hammer.

I have contacted my house member and he assures me he will work and vote against this bill.

It really is so simple if they want true reform.

Most Americans would be inclined to show compassion to the illegals that are already here, and consider a real guest worker program, if they new that the non-stop flood at the border would be turned off.

Simply put, the vast majority of us will not support reform until the borders are secured first; anything else is a sham that provides Amnesty to those here illegal....and does not address the root issue....the border..

The Senate needs to be swept clean for the most part....maybe this will wake some people up....on both sides of the aisle...
