I was being born that day while Lindberg was fighting. Glad to know I was following a brave American.
My father-in-law was also fighting on Iwo with the 75th JASCO, the only Army unit to land in combat there.
A big Hoorah to all.

I’ve had some trouble reading “ Flags of our Fathers.” I got a bit mushy. I did watch the DVD of same and though it was a bit mushy as well, I managed to complete the viewing.
