Well as I posted earlier they probably don’t have the votes yet and that’s why the cloture vote keeps getting postponed. But no doubt there’s arm twisting going on though I don’t know how this White House manages it given the 26% approval rating of Bush and the overwhelming hatred of this bill by all sides.

I have written emails to my two loser Senators numerous times on this subject. Bayh is a snake and Lugar is a pompus horses rear end. I am so disappointed in Bush on this, I just can’t believe that he’d sell out to the special interests like this. A really sad day for this country.

He is also up for REELECTION in 2008..he did vote twice 2006 & 2007 against cloture but his immigration report card is fair to bad...

Also, they are going to have to make sure all the pro-amnesty presidential candidates (who need to be out of town a lot these days) are there when they vote. That could make it complicated:
McCain,Brownback,Hillary,Obama,Biden,Dodd,Edwards. Did I forget any?
If any of them are not there we benefit. Let’s hope they’re on the campaign trail.
