If Bush and his RINO’s pass the Amenesty bill, Real republicans will not show up at the polls or donate time and money.
So they will not win anything.
if they can win back the party’s base
hahahahaha good luck with that! Seems to me they are working on abolishing the base with their dumba$$ comments and Bush pushing the amnesty bill.
Saw this poll on the 3 networks yesterday (SARC).
That's a HUGE "if". If amnesty gets rammed through, game over.
As far as the how this former Republican party base voter is concerned, if I had a car that let me down as much as the GOP, I'd shoot it full of holes, set fire to it, and push it off a cliff.
Very well said! I wish it was short enough to use as a tagline.
Not true. A bunch of Senators like it. 100% of current American presidents like it a lot. A lot of businesses who have become addicted to cheap labor think it's a great idea. The head of DHS likes it. Bureaucrats longing for a new underclass to exploit ala War on Poverty think it's the best thing since sliced bread.
“Alternative Energy King” Jerry McNierny won against incumbent Richard Pombo here in our district using a LOT of outside money. A former Assemblyman and State Board of Equalization member Dean Andal has thrown his hat into the ring to take back the seat lost by Pombo. He is a conservative and said he will only stay in Congress for a set time (self-imposed term limits). There is hope, after all.
The problem is you need something to vote for...the Republicans think they will get the I hate the Democrat congress vote. I have no enthusiam for Republicans; I don’t know if I ever will again. I don’t think the Repubs will take back congress if this immigration bill goes through.
I agree. We need a solid conservative. I have to say I would rather vote third party than vote for a Rino who will govern like a Dem and then the Repubs get the blame. The Democrats get their way and the Repubs get the shaft.
A strong candidate on top of the GOP presidential ticket will help, but I still think net losses in the House & Senate are still more likely.
but the voters dont per the polls and thats what we are referring to
So we just let the democrats have it without a fight? Like thats really working out! Geez, what a bunch of idiots we have become!
They are continually advertising against Mahoney here.
Let's not go overboard....
I was trying to say the same thing with humor. I obviously missed. :)
I think it will be a stalemate for the next 5+ years regardless who wins the White House. Congress will not move either direction and no side will have 60-67 to prevent a filibuster or override a veto.
If the party doesn’t repect the wishes of the party base then it is not our party.
The leadership thinks the same way you do, who else will they vote for if not us, so we can screw them and there is nothing they can or will do.
Well guess what, they must not have learned from the last election results.
