"yikes..now what will be hillarys plan for Bloomberg?" No problem, now he runs for her senate seat and becomes one of the most powerful senators....like Jeffords only more so because of his NYC constituency.

"He will split the Republican vote..." While I admire your conspiratorial creativity....there is some logic missing here.
First, leaving out sophisticated ultra anti-Republican NYC...name one Republican who would vote for a sissy liberal non-affiliated candidate...and when....no primarys.
Second, how would Hitlery benefit from a dim/rino/non-aff from a very blue state? Her VP has to from a redish/pink state...Florica? Ohio? ...or even a blueish state like PA or Indiana....
Think about it....

"No longer"....more like "never was" because he keeps proving himself to be an opportunistic b@stard who flip flops as much as Johm Kerry. "I voted Democrat before I voted Republican before I voted Democrat"

______I know what you mean. I’m in New Jersey 30 miles away, and even I can’t sleep at night. It should take somewhat less than the amount on $ he was willing to spend on the New York effort, though, to figure out why he shouldn’t run and COULDN’T win a Presidential race.

I suppose that among Bloomberg’s crowd, dressing up as a Republican for a few years was mainly sort of a kinky thrill. Do they hold parades for that sort of thing in New York nowadays?

Ollie North! Now that’s one Republican that could not get the support of one Nancy Reagan.

I think you’re right... Republicanism was a fetish for Bloomberg. But he outlived it even if he kept the Republican moniker for a time.

It was not even a fetish. Bloomberg is an elitist Upper East Side liberal Democrat who took the Republican line along with an endorsement from Rudy for an agreed upon price.
Everyone got what they wanted at the time. And now that time is done. So Bloomberg moves on. He never was a Republican in any sense or shape of the word, not even as a RINO.
I hope he gives Shrillary hives.
To: neverdem
he never was a Republican. He was Republican in paper only after reading the Tea Leaves after 9/11.
To: Ancient Drive
He was Republican in paper only after reading the Tea Leaves after 9/11.He was Republican in paper only before reading the Tea Leaves before 9/11. September 11, 2001 was Primary Day. He was on the GOP Primary ballot already against Herman Badillo.

From what I understand, Bloomberg was never really a Republican to begin with; a caller into the Hugh Hewitt show said the only reason he made the switch back when Rudy was leaving office was only to ride the wave of his predecessor’s success.
...Just another shallow Fat Cat with deep Soros-like pockets.
