From New Hampshire to California, American Indian leaders are speaking out more forcefully about the danger of climate change.

Members of six tribes recently gathered near the Baker River in the White Mountains for a sacred ceremony honoring "Earth Mother." Talking Hawk, a Mohawk Indian who asked to be identified by his Indian name, pointed to the river's tea-colored water as proof that the overwhelming amount of pollution humans have produced has caused changes around the globe.

Even Chief Seattle was a farce, a hoax and a complete myth dreamed up by some high school drama teacher for a school play. But just like the radio play called “War Of The Worlds,” too many took it for reality and came to believe it and perpetuate the bad joke!!!

It’s pollution, dammit!

How dare you make such a reasonable assumption that naturally occurring tannin could be involved!

You’re definitely not a friend of the earth...are you?!

(sarcasm off)

“Talking Hawk, a Mohawk Indian who asked to be identified by his Indian name” as opposed to his street name, B-stupid, or his given name Jimmy Farini said, “Earth Mother is not always angry. Sometimes she weeps tears of joy, giving us pure rain, sometimes her heart freezes and we see sister ice for a time. Then spring comes and . . . hey, f^(& you whitey, get your hands off my BMW you f^(&^*$ p#!(% . . . you think Benjamins grow on trees be-atch? 187 is coming around the corner and headed your way . . .

Another moment to not be PC:

For those of you who have never seen how the vaunted American Indian lives- up close and personal- they are the worst.
Trash everywhere.
Re-cycling or removal to refuse dumps doesn’t happen.
Don’t know if they cannot bear to throw anything away incase they MIGHT need it in the future or what.
I have ridden a number of times near, and THRU Indian Reservation homes. I wouldn’t house my dog in one.
Speaking of dogs: Locals where I live now all claim that Indians don’t ever buy their kids toys. Think it is frivolous. They get them a dog instead, and most of them are in poor condition.
Iron Eyes Cody may have made a soft-hearted ad many years ago, but I challenge them all to see Indian living conditions. They are exempt from the rules we have to live by with trash, etc.

It could be proof that his tribe should stop crapping in the river.

Indigenous: Originating and living or occurring naturally in an area or environment

Aren't we all living or occurring naturally?

Just curious...

30 years later, infiltration of radicals via the American Indian Movement pays off for the liberals.
Amazing what a few decades of propaganidizing can do, huh?

"I frankly am tired of this whole noble mystic of the plains nonsense."

So the park service had to erase thousands of references to "Anastasi" Indians after about 50 years because they found out the real translation was "cannibal" or "terrible ones" or something like that. "Anastasi" is what other Indians in the area called the ultimate conquerors of the four corners area.

It's a good thing that liberal (and FReeper) worshippers of western science and "rationalism" have never made the demands of "indigenous pipples" that they have of "Bible-thumpers."

I can foresee a new wrestling heel tag-team: Charles Darwin and the Noble Savage!
