Seattle Times ^

Shortly after noon on Fridays, the Rev. Ann Holmes Redding ties on a black headscarf, preparing to pray with her Muslim group on First Hill.
On Sunday mornings, Redding puts on the white collar of an Episcopal priest.
She does both, she says, because she's Christian and Muslim.

After reading the article it seems clear to me - she was never truly a Christian.

I am both a Democrat and a patriot. No, that's just too silly even for sarcasm.

Muslims deny Christ’s divinity, so this is logically impossible.

As much as she loves her church, she has always challenged it. She calls Christianity the "world religion of privilege." She has never believed in original sin. And for years she struggled with the nature of Jesus' divinity.
She found a good fit at St. Mark's, coming to the flagship of the Episcopal Church in Western Washington in 2001. She was in charge of programs to form and deepen people's faith until March this year when she was one of three employees laid off for budget reasons. The dean of the cathedral said Redding's exploration of Islam had nothing to do with her layoff. This is a faithless woman charged with building the faith of others. She has the traditional opinion of whites having privilege and Christianity is seen as a "white mans " religion. I wonder if the mosque is black muslim or traditional ? Either way this woman is not and never has been a Christian

Ah, she’s a split personality. She forgot to tell us she’s a male at times, too.
And sometimes she’s an idiot and the rest of the time she’s a moron.

Redding's bishop, the Rt. Rev. Vincent Warner, says he accepts Redding as an Episcopal priest and a Muslim, and that he finds the interfaith possibilities exciting.Well, the bishop approves so it's ok.

Can she issue a fatwah against herself? Can she dmeand the Christian side submit to dhimmitude? If she refuses dhimmitude can her Muslim side kill the non believer?
She has some serrrrious issues.

I believe that all religions are relevent-at least in there pristine forms. That being said to be a Christian you must profess a belief int he Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. Episcopalians now believe in Daddio, laddio and the Holy Spook. They are not Christians nor are they members of any real faith. The Islam religion I think was built for barbarians so they could evolve beyond being barbarian. And after they got past that stage the next depth of the religion would open or they would go onto a more modern one. Certainly the Islamic group soul has been demolished and twisted to no end by the barbarian evolutionary level of hatred. Instead of bringing them forward it leaves them in that state and brings them down further.; As such it is no longer relevent to spiritual evolution.

"It wasn't about intellect," she said. "All I know is the calling of my heart to Islam was very much something about my identity and who I am supposed to be.
"I could not not be a Muslim."
This sheds some light on the story. She's just not thinking. This woman doesn't know what she "believes," she only knows what she "is."
