Petraeus..., he's the incompetent one, right Harry?
Where did you hear Gen Petreaus? As usual the spin machine twists anything he says about how things are going totally out of shape. Would like to hear him live and unedited. Too bad I work weekends so I cannot hear him today!
Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.
The only true one against this immigration debacle being shown.
Great link, thanks.
I don’t think that Fitz has a clue that he might be vulnerable to the same thing. Sometimes the narcissism is so intense, the narcissist* can’t even find the mirror, let alone look in it.

###### Paging Bill O'Reilly! Just this week, O'Reilly exposed NBC's anti-American, anti-War, anti-Republican liberal-democrat slant. Meanwhile, Peter Chernin - liberal-virus @ News.Corp announce the launch of News Corp-NBC YouTube-Rival in September.

###### Free Examiner to Compete with LA Times! -> Philip Anschutz's Examiner chain of free dailies, with papers in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, plans to launch in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Examiner would directly challenge Tribune's foundering LA Times.
###### Un-Reported by MSM! -> Clinton Judges are Terrorist-friends.

***Trace Gallagher becomes Fox Report Correspondent. Weekend Fox Report will be anchored by liberal Laurie Dhue.
***Campbell Brown is headed to CNN.
***CNN-HLN anchor Christi Paul is criticised by liberals for singing the national anthem before the Atlanta Braves vs. Florida Marlins game.(They call it advocating-patriotism.)
They think A), We’ll have forgotten and moved on come election day;
B) Enough new “citizens” will now vote for them, so they don’t need their base;
or C) They’re too stupid and insulated in DC by the DBM that they really think that we’re all a bunch of ignorant, racist yahoos and the majority won’t mind the 12-20 million new “citizens” who will keep us in cheap lettuce and well-manicured lawns.
Beyond that I’m bewildered. I am still a Bush supporter, believe it or not, as I am still glad we aren’t berating President Kerry or Gore, but the man is sorely trying my deep Republican roots.
Sometimes I wonder how in touch regular Americans are with politics, as compared to us FReepers. But believe me, I’ve heard an earful these past few weeks about how ticked EVERYONE is about any proposed amnesty and I think the DBM and entrenched Washington establishment are really missunderestimating our anger.
These people almost think they are above the law and that normal rules and regulations do not apply to them.
Right but only as long as you just ignore the this guy.
Sen John Cornyn R-TX
Cornyn will fold.
I didn’t hear Petreus’ comments..Do you have a link? Usually general officers don’t respond to attacks from pols...look at Pace..
LOL. I have a few.
Reported at NationalReview online the day after Reid’s comments on Pace and Petraeus.
In a Baghdad press conference, General Petraeus criticized Senate Majority Harry Reid (D-NV) for his lack of awareness of the political environment in Washington. The new MNF-I commander lamented the Washington Senator’s overconfidence, complaining that “he promised me, my troops and the American public that he would have us delivered out of Iraq. That didn’t happen.” The General, condfident in his criticism, assured reporters that he intends to visit Washington in September on a major fact-finding mission.

Sen Norm Coleman would seem to indicate that is slowly changing. Coleman use to be a D, is a squishy R and has been a very reliable Bush vote in the US Senate.
When asked about this bill, Sen Coleman said his phone calls were running 30-1 against this bill. Said the Border Security measures would take at least 18 months to get fully in place and no one was going trust DC on this issue until those things were done.
Umm Proof of that?
Absolutely. Although I do think that Fitz wasn’t out for his own job but to use his position to destroy Libby, who in his mind was responsible for Clinton being an @$$* and pardoning Marc Rich.
*He did it so well on his own, why would he need help?
