Idiots.

They still don’t get the message.

The way to prevent the ship from sinking is to plug the hole first, then bail out the water.

The fence plan failed by 272 to 149 votes.

Those 272 need to be sent to the unemployment line ----

Link Congressional pay to completion of the fence. When the fence is 100% completed they will get 100% of their pay.

"Deporting those illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes is absolutely imperative to keeping our communities safe," Mitchell said in a statement.

Deporting all illegal aliens should be imperative Mr. Mitchell!

HORSES ASSES..........They just prove it over and over again. They obviously don't represent their constituents and do whatever the hell they please up there. May be time to change the way that government runs or doesn't in this case and many others. It all appears hopeless to me, they want to ruin this country for some reason that I haven't figured out yet.

Supposedly, being "closer to the people" than the members of the House of Lords, I thought maybe the majority of the House of Reprehensibles would side with their constituents on these immigration and amnesty issues.

Now I'm not so sure.

Things look bleak, don't they.

To all those who say the border cannot be fixed and the rot stopped, read this article http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0706/p09s01-coop.html

In the 50’s over 1 million per year were coming across then Ike took action. Below is from the article. IT WORKED UNTIL AGAIN THERE WAS NO POLITICAL WILL.

“In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph “Jumpin’ Joe” Swing, a former West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS commissioner.

Then on June 17, 1954, what was called “Operation Wetback” began. Because political resistance was lower in California and Arizona, the roundup of aliens began there. Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing arrest, had fled the country.

By mid-July, the crackdown extended northward into Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, and eastward to Texas.

By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and an estimated 500,000 to 700,000 illegals had left the Lone Star State voluntarily.

Unlike today, Mexicans caught in the roundup were not simply released at the border, where they could easily reenter the US. To discourage their return, Swing arranged for buses and trains to take many aliens deep within Mexico before being set free.

Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried the aliens from Port Isabel, Texas, to Vera Cruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles south.”

Deporting those illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes is absolutely imperative to keeping our communities safe.

And if you don't have a fence, what the HELL is the point of deporting them??? They're just going to turn around and WALK RIGHT BACK IN the NEXT DAY!!!

"The House did approve an overall homeland and border security appropriations bill Friday. Mitchell said he backed that bill because it allocates federal money to hire more Border Patrol Agents and resources to deport violent illegal immigrant criminals. "Deporting those illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes is absolutely imperative to keeping our communities safe," Mitchell said in a statement. Mitchell represents Tempe and Scottsdale."

This is like a broken record...deport them - they come back - deport them - they come back.......

Oh yeah, there's more...

Knowing that border security and enforcement is the main concern of the public, let’s recap just a few of the amendments that were defeated in two weeks of debate: the Coleman amendment to end the policy of “sanctuary cities,” defeated 48-to-49; the McConnell amendment to require a photo ID for voting in order to combat voter fraud, defeated 41-to-52; the Cornyn amendment to deny amnesty to gang members and illegal aliens with criminal records, defeated 46-to-51; the Vitter amendment to guarantee a secure, biometric check in/check out visa system be in place prior to any guest worker program going into effect, defeated 48-to-49; and the Coburn-DeMint amendment to guarantee full border security prior to amnesty, defeated 42-to-54.
