Honor roll: Bill from Olney*, Jimmy Valentine's Brother, Mr & Mrs Trooprally, kristinn, Fraxinus, VAFlagWaver, Laura Bush*, Bob (Walter Reed patient), George* and Ethel*, Albion Wilde, Chad, tgslTakoma, Chris* and Bruce*, OlneyKeith, BillF, OhioSA and Jere* (* lurkers)
When we first got there the weather didn't look too bad. We knew rain was moving into the area but I thought it would blow over within a short period of time. I was wrong. Most of the picture were taken before 9:00 pm. About that time the steady rain turned into a torrent. We sought refuge in our cars and waited for the bus. We were visited by 2 soldiers stationed at Walter Reed. They came over to visit because they wanted to let us know how much they appreciated what we were doing. Of course we let them know we appreciated them more. Then they said, "No, we appreciate you more!" Then we said, "No, we appreciate you more!" Then they said, "No, we appreciate you more!" Just when we about to say "No..." they got a couple of us under their arms in a headlock and said, "Who appreciates who |

more?" "You do! You do!", we said. Then we had cookies and pizza. They talked a little about their tour in Iraq. One just got back from Ramadi and said most of the fighting is still going on in Falujah (sp). They said when they get back to work they're going to let all their buddies know about our Friday night rallies at the front gate.

Thanks for a great report and photos. And thanks to all, including “Incorrigible” and “daughterofIncorrigible,” for braving the elements once again to show the troops at Walter Reed that their service to the country is remembered and honored.

Do I pass? Of course, you did the hard part! I'll give it a try on my own tomorrow. Sorry we missed the bus, with the way the rain was coming down.we thought we'd better get back to the hotel before we needed an ark. DC FReepers are the best!

I missed last week. Lord Willing, and the creeks don’t rise much higher, I’ll be there this week.

Great report!
Here are a few photos that I took, along with an album cover. You can click on the bordered photos and a larger version will appear in a new window.

to protect their anonymity, behind the Pinkos. Plus, the Halliburton satellite takes photos that are kept for intelligence purposes, but
which can't be used in our report.

I was thinking more like

You pass! The next pop quiz you will serve on yourself when you attempt to post a pic on your own. But now you have a template.

I should have used “eyeing little girls with bad intent” in the title.

I should have used eyeing little girls with bad intent in the title. Clinton was there?
Either one.

"Snot is running down his nose!" was perfect, I instantly thought of Aqualung.
Eyeing little girls with bad intent brings to my mind one or more of the Clintons first and then the Jethro Tull song.

I guess all y’all are in training to be on-site broadcasters for the Weather channel! I think the only weather conditions you haven’t endured during a WRAMC freep are a tsunami and a hamsin. (Here’s a link about the second: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamsin). Thanks again to all who were there—especially those who came by DC cab!

Fortunately for our insurance rates I believe we have also avoided Hail. Fortunately I think this Friday will have good weather.
According to NWS:
Friday: A slight chance of showers after 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 71. North wind between 3 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

I personally like this pic. The driver let one of the soldier's kid beep the buses horn. that's why the horn kept going. He/she must have been enjoying honking the horn.
And thanks for the AAR. Now I need to get writing Olney's.

LOL, but not to worry, I always screw something up also. Once or twice I’ve even got the date wrong! Unfortunately this site doesn’t let you correct mistakes without going to a moderator.
