Why Did C-SPAN Blacklist Savage?

Michael Savage, the #3 most listened to talk-show host in America, was honored by Talkers Magazine, the "Bible" of talk radio, with this year's Freedom of peech Award.
Recently, Talkers held a bash at which they presented the award. C-SPAN, which claims to be nonpartisan and nonideological, was there and carried most of the speeches. But for some reason, it blacklisted Savage's speech accepting the award.
Why would a nonideological network do this? More liberal media bias, obviously. C-SPAN has now willingly made itself part of the liberal effort to suppress freedom of speech in this country.

Look at all those hosts who have bigger audiences than Mr. “Thank Me.”

LMAO, well according TO SOME posters the only thing that matters is how many show up to post on his thread, THAT’s what makes levin popular, the number of posts, NOT the number of listeners, you know, THE NUMBER THAT ACTUALLY COUNTS!

Tony Snow?
No Hugh Hewitt?
Looks like an old list, to me.
And I wonder if Howard Stern would rank about as high as the unfortunate Mr. Savage.

Listen to his show, then come talk to me about his bonafides. Oh, and I could give a rat’s @ss about the sensibilities of liberal politicians. However, as the 2006 election demonstrated, Republicans will lose elections as a result of the divisions caused by people like Savage and his rantings on the air. And, just because he (Savage) has a growing audience that means I should bow down at the alter of Savage? Not hardly. I don’t idolize people in Hollywierd either.
People who are enemies of American and seek to destroy her do not deserve our scorn and anger. They deserve our bombs and death rained down from above.
Please explain how it is I’ve ridiculed Savage’s name. I’ve only comment how he is a liberal in sheep’s clothing. Nothing more. Pay close attention to how he speaks not just the words he uses. People interested in a dialogue do not engage in his type of ad hominem attacks (Savage’s preferred mode of commentary, not mine). Why is it that he supported and provided monetary donations for Jerry (Moonbat) Brown if he’s such a “conservative”? His only claim to fame with you is “Borders, Language, Culture” (which provides fodder for the liberals in this country to paint every conservative as a bigot - which is a strong selling point for turning people off of true conserative values). But, if you wish to buy his liberal clap-trap, be my guest.

Has he? Or, has he talked about doing more? Show the evidence that he’s actually done what he claims. It’s very easy to claim you’ve done this or that.

Im aware of his donations, and Im not impressed by one act. Unlike a few Iraqi vets I know who are aware of Savage's support and are deeply appreciative of it.

What’s the point? That’s the best you got? Maybe this sort of “argument” works for you, but it tells me nothing about his ideas.

I totally agree. Ann Coulter’s critics say the same tripe... nevermind that Ann is absolutely correct in what she says... she’s not seeeeeeeensitive enough. Screw that.. When do you see people like Legosi or Reid trying to be sensitive?

who have done an excellent job of characterizing all conservatives to be nut jobs like Savage
Let Liberals characterize all they want to. Obviously not all conservatives act like Savage, so THEY ARE WRONG. yet you behave as if they right. I dont understand you.. you're objecting to offending people who are speaking mistruths about you?

That is an utter distortion of the FACTS. Levin, Rush and Laura have ALL come out against the president on many occasions- they are conservatives FIRST, and are in no way GOP water carriers. I don't know about Levin, Laura is independent, but Rush & Sean were big-time water catteries. Rush even said after the 2006 election that he was going to stop carrying water for those Republicans that didn't deserve it.... meaning he had.
If Rush didn't carry water for the GOP, perhaps they would have gotten their act together and more conservatives would have went out to the polls.

A talking point that’s easily repeated but it proves that you haven’t listened to any of those in the past couple of years if you think they “carry the water.” Especially Levin.

I know Laura has been against Bush on the Ports deal (which I wasn’t again if you check my FR history), Harriet Myers, Amnesty and other things I can’t remember.
Laura and Savage are my daily must-listen to radio shows.

I’m objecting to the damage this man has done (along with people like him) to conservatives in this country. You may or may not have noticed that characterizations of conservatives as being hate-mongers, bigots, anti-democracy, pro-big business (at the expense of everything else under the sun), anti-this or that (with respect to individual rights), etc, etc, etc (which comes out of the DemoncRat party) is hardly ever challenged. When noone speaks out for what conservative values really are, when all the demagoguery that comes out of the DemoncRat party is hardly ever disputed, then people have only that which is placed in front of them to make decisions on. People like Savage provide the reasons for hating conservatives in this country, and I believe this is done purposefully. The very extreme nature of this guy reeks to me. You may buy his act, but don't expect me to.
