Why Did C-SPAN Blacklist Savage?
TBP | Now | Moi

Michael Savage, the #3 most listened to talk-show host in America, was honored by Talkers Magazine, the "Bible" of talk radio, with this year's Freedom of peech Award.

Recently, Talkers held a bash at which they presented the award. C-SPAN, which claims to be nonpartisan and nonideological, was there and carried most of the speeches. But for some reason, it blacklisted Savage's speech accepting the award.

Why would a nonideological network do this? More liberal media bias, obviously. C-SPAN has now willingly made itself part of the liberal effort to suppress freedom of speech in this country.

Yesterday, Savage carried on about Kosovo and the Balkan states without the slightest historic knowledge or understanding of the dynamics of that region and its storied past.

In 1815, there was no Al Queda or Saudi regime. It is a fact that foreign fighters are coming into Kosovo to fight what they see as a jihadist conflict. It is a fact that million of dollars in Saudi aid is coming into Kosovo every year to build mosques and schools to radicalize Muslims there in Wahabbi dogma. In 1815 there was no international heroin trade, or int'l kidnapping/sex slave trade. The Kosovars run those trades in all of Europe right now. Although it is good to have a historical perspective, it is naive to think that ancient feuds trump powerful modern realities. An independent Kosovo is a great threat in the context of a resurgent Islam and the WOT. Savage understands this. Bush does not. Do you?

Levin beats him by a mile

Not according to any objective measure of teh audience. In fact, not much of anywhere outside Mark Levin's mind.

The problem is that they left out the main one. You don't cover two or three speeches and leave out the main speech unless you're trying to do it that way.

This isn't even unusual for CSPAN. It's a failure of quality in the decision making more than a deliberate snub at Savage.

Ah, yet another simpleton who has bought Savage’s BS hook, line, and sinker. Perhaps you should have listened closer to the inconsistencies of the “Great” (choke) Savage instead of fawning over his unabashed tirades which changed day by day. You see, Savage's tirades are cause celebe for the Liberals in this country for painting conservatives to be the same as he (manic and dangerous). Since you clearly are interested in only hurling insults at people with a greater insight into the reality of the political landscape of talk radio, I’ll just ignore your ignorance and your vindictive commentary. Have a nice day (DUmmy)

Savage is a liberal portraying a caricature of conservatives.

Bush is a liberal. Savage is a conservative. If you have proof otherwise, kindly present it.

In providing evidence of Savage being a liberal in sheeps clothing I can only say listen closely to his rantings and ravings on a daily basis. He spews forth hatred for all things Bush one day, and then sings the praises of Bush the next. He flip flops more often regarding his beliefs than any other Liberal politician who has run for the office of President. He also gave the largest amount possible for a campain contribution to one of the biggest liberals in the state of CA, supporting his bid for AG (Moonbat Jerry Brown) which he won much to the detriment of this state. His rantings and ravings serve only one purpose: To provide fodder for the liberals to paint all conservatives as lunitics like Michael Savage. Either pay close attention to what he really believes, or not. Your choice. I won’t retract my statement as there is ample evidence from his own behavior to support it.

That’s always been my take on Glenn Beck.

Maybe you just can't relate to Glenn Beck's format... He's by far a much better listen, not only his temperment, but his grasp of the subject matter, than Michael Savage. Rush is by far the best though...

His message is allot clearer than some so called conservatives.

Yes, but also manic and incessantly over-reactive. Yelling and spitting constantly, even while saying the right things, doesn't help your argument.

Apparently, O'Reilly has banned him too.

Maybe that's due to Savage referring to O'Reilly as "The Leprechaun"... LOL
