If Gore is the nominee against Fred, the latter will carry TN by at least 60-40%.

Oh, please let it happen!

I can't wait to see Fred and Al in a debate. Fred would shatter the global-warming-is-a-result-of-human-activity myth for once and for all.

Lord, please let me see this before I die.

I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t.

He’s completely changed his whole persona since 2000. The Left didn’t like him. Viewed him as colorless and not one of them in cause. Since he’s mimiced Dean in emotion, made himself a leader in this Global warming cult, and has not been a part of D.C. If there is one thing everyone in the rank and file on all sides share, it is utter comtempt for those in D.C. Not for the same reasons, but shared contempt.

The left never liked Hillary, but they thought she was one of them. Since becoming senator, they ludicrously believe she’s sold out and become too “conservative”. Obama is a fling but he’s a lightweight, and I think deep down most of them know it. Plus he’s black, and the left establishment has done nothing to convince me they can overcome their innate bigotry and support him leading their party.

I think a Thompson/Gore ticket isn’t too far out of the realm of possibility.

“Fred Thompson’s expected entry into the tight Republican presidential race is drawing crucial strength from conservatives and older men, vaulting him into the thick of the GOP nomination fight, an Associated Press-Ipsos poll says.”

That brings up an intriging possibility. A lot of older people watch Law and Order. Younger too, but especially older men and women. The type of people that bestow faith on Government to keep their social security checks coming. The kind Dems like to scare in line during an election year. They'll probably have some degree of familiarity and faith in Fred just from that stint alone. Could offset that perenial election ploy by Dems a bit.
