Defeating this bill permanantly is the only option, Ken.

‘No, it’s not dead. Defeat is not an option,” Salazar, D-Denver, told CNN on the morning...’
In other news, Generalissimo Franco is still dead.....

We must be vigilant, but I do suspect that a large number of congressmen on both sides of the isle got chewed on enough that they will not want to revisit this one anytime soon.

Maybe not, Kenny boy, but your political future in Colorado is.

"No, it's not dead. Defeat is not an option," Salazar, D-Denver, told CNN on the morning...
Salazar continued, "Why, only this morning, numerous Senators have called to tell me just how much they enjoyed being pummeled by their constituents, and how much their staffs have enjoyed answering the phones non-stop for the last two weeks. We just can't WAIT to repeat that experience."

"What needs to happen (is) the people who care about national security and securing the border...they need to step up to the plate and get this done," Salazar said. Oh Ken, but we did! Thousands and thousands of us stepped up to the plate and let you and yours know exactly what we think of this shamnesty bill.
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., one of the most outspoken Republican backers of the bill, was expected to talk about immigration later today, when he begins a two-day presidential campaign trip to Iowa.
IMHO, he's done. Anybody got a fork?

I agree it’s not dead. The backers of this bill will not give up, and neither should we. We’ll fight them tooth and nail on this. On that they can be certain.

Defeat not an option?????? I don’t think so. I just don’t understand what these people are thinking. The will of the people has been made known on no uncertain terms. This is a bad bill and we don’t want it! What’s not to understand here?

Check the Seantor’s last name, then think it over about lending him any credence. Need more proof that immigration doesn’t work? There he is, a US senator, and still nothing more than a mexican. And if you allow this amnesty, these mexicans will FILL THE SENATE with their own kind. They won’t be content with the crumbs that these democrats will throw to them, they will kick the butts of the current heavy-weight democrats and take over.

Defeat is not an option for the democrats, unless of course we are talking about Iraq.
