I see our Georgia senators voted the will of the Georgia people finally. Georgians have been calling, emailing etc for weeks now. I guess they finally got the message-no amnesty.
In fact yesterday, Chris Crock (I don’tknow if this is how you spell his name) had a anti-amnesty rally off of 41 and Akers Mill last night-big crowd I’d say.
Um, he was crying in the bathroom while the vote was being taken??
“Not exactly....cloture requires 60 votes, so it fell 15 votes shy of passage.”
Not accurate. Some Senators changed their original YEAS to NAYS. eg Rockefeller
Congratulations to Chambliss and Isakson, who, despite their initial treachery, did the right thing in the end, and will retain my vote.
..the battle is ahead!!!
The simplest answer is often the correct one. IMHO, I think these (not so)clever con artists think that you and I are stupid serfs who aren't paying attention.
Make no mistake, these twits are selling the entire country down the road for political gain. 150 years ago this would have bought them a rail ride with complementary tar and feathers......an old idea who's time has once again come?
I think it was Bill Nelson who said he always votes for cloture, because he doesn’t believe in the 60-vote rule.
I don’t know how old you are.
Charles Mathias was a Republican, he served until 1987 in the class 3 seat.
John Glenn Beall was a Republican, he served until 1977 in the class 1 seat.
I don’t get your point — he voted NO for cloture, that was the correct vote in this case.
No, all it took was 3. That would have made the vote 47 Yay, 46 Nay.

“Note the vast majority of the votes FOR the bill were Democrats.”
Note also that ten Democrats voted against cloture.
“Do we realize that it only took 3 spineless Republicans to vote Yea to screw the rest of America?”
Not quite. It takes 60 votes to close debate.
McCaskill won office through the money and power of big labor out of Kansas City and St. Louis.
I can’t imagine that the unions would like this bill. I’m sure they have conveyed that to her.
You are right as well as some RINO’s, namely Graham from SC where I live.I called, faxed, and e-maled his office mulitple times.I have now begun calling him
“the former Senator from SC.” Anyone who would sell out national security has got to go.
The real fighters against the bill need to be thanked. Even the democrats who voted against cloture should be thanked. Even Boxer, no matter what the motives were.
Who is the worst RINO in the Senate?
While we are in the minority seems like a great time to clean house. If we were going to target these guys in primaries who should we go after first?
Should some of them be spared because they are otherwise fine Republicans?
My take: Hagel needs to go first.
I am also hoping Arlen can be knocked off. He barely survived a primary challenge last time, we owe it to him and ourselves to try again. The ad campaign for his opponent could be theme'd "Had enough yet?"
Finally I'd put Lindsey Graham on the list. He is moving in the wrong direction, and is likley to start being 'the new Hagel' -- lauded by people like CNN and George Stephanopolis. Better to toss him now while he's just growing to big for his britches, rather thay wait until he's filled them out.
I think McCain's career is over with his failed run for President and I don't expect him to stay in the Senate next term. I know less about the remaining three: Lugar, Martinez and Voinovich. Martinez is head of the RNC, at the very least he needs to get out of that job.
The Yeas: RINO targets for replacement
Graham (R-SC)
Hagel (R-NE)
Lugar (R-IN)
Martinez (R-FL)
McCain (R-AZ)
Specter (R-PA)
Voinovich (R-OH)
Thank You, Those two escaped me.,
I guess I am so old ,my memory has lapsed.
Hear! Hear!
It’s NOW time for us to go to war again, but this time to rescue our country take back control.
Many years ago, I took a SOLEMN OATH to ‘defend MY country’, against ALL ENEMIES, both foreign and domestic. Somehow, I just can't recall ever being relieved of that responsibility I took on in that oath. ’
Well, I helped successfully defend it against many foreign enemies, now it is time to defend OUR country (It does not belong to those lying scallywags in Washington, (no matter what their political stripe).
It’s time to march again, but this time to the sound of the lying propaganda guns of the lying Washington whores and scallywags, and the lying misguided media scallywags, and the lying local corrupt scallywags, and the many self serving BURROcrats everywhere, who's main mission statement is, 'It's not my job', coupled with 'That's what the policy is (no matter if it makes no sense), and lastly (and never even muttered aloud) 'I must preserve the Swimming Pool [whatever that is - pool, car, fancy house, etc.] in my life, no matter what happens to those I was hired to serve.'.
FORWARD ...... HARCH !!!!!
As you may have guessed, I have just spent the whole day at my local Veteran's Administration Medical Care facility, attempting to break through the log jam of incompetent BURROcrats, who appear determined to follow their 'unwritten' procedures, whether they kill me or not, while listening on the radio to the conservative analysis of the temporary resolution of the crisis last night where the destruction of our country was narrowly averted only by massive and repeated threats from we the people to OUR ??? REPRESENTATIVES ????.
The ranting has just begun !!!!
The actions are just beginning !!!
Onward my fellow patriotic warriors, and let the battle be joined !!
Action NOW, FREEPERS and PATRIOTS ALL, the very serious game of saving our country --- AGAIN, has begun !
